How often do you encounter rare Borgs?

Has anyone noticed some form of consistent pattern in which you encounter a rare colored Borg?

• Do you encounter some more or less every battle?
  
• Do you encounter some within at least 10 battles or so?
  
• Does it take over 100 battles just to spot one?
  
• Do you quite literally never encounter any?
  

A couple of years ago, it seems I encountered rare Borgs somewhat regularly, because I seem to have accumulated more rare ones back then (when I didn't even bother looking for them) then I do these days, when I really want to find them.


Any comments?

With me, the best chance of encountering a rare Borg is within the first 3 battles. I don't know why but there's many, many occasions where I've turned the game on and fought a rare Borg in the first battle.

Usually if that doesn't happen it will do after about 150-200 battles. I tend to have a better chance of fight rare Borgs if either they are basic (Rubbish/Weak Borgs) or if i do the same battle over and over (But the battle must consist of the same Borgs to doing "Defeat The Death Force Unit" doesn't help)

About every 5 battles or so in any play, I will encounter at least one crystal borg.

About every 15 battles on play 6, and play 6 only, I will encounter at least one silver borg.

Only on play 6 again, about every 50 battles, I will encounter at least one gold.

I have never, ever encountered a shadow borg on any playthrough in all my years of gotcha-ing

Thats about it.

As for alt. (which I don't count as a rare borg, but some might) I get at least one every battle.

I guess Play 8 is highly overrated.

Shadow Borgs are ludicrously rare, so I'm not surprised you've never seen any.
I myself have only three shadow Borgs and I have many thousands of game hours to boot.

my brother got a shadow killer girl yesterday
i got 3 golds
and a gold akuma samurai and a shadow demon samurai


i've actually been working on the formula for finding out how the program works for the chance to get a borg
as i noticed if u save before a battle and after that fight 2 more battles then turn off and do those 2 battles roughly the same u will get the same things (i proved this with musashi and such) and by changing the ally or losing one less borg actually mean i still get a data crystal but its a C instead of a D and i am close to figuring out a formula that will take u to percentage of getting something
also the screen at the end of a battle with the score might have another thign to do with it

In my entire time, I think I have seen two. I traded a Shadow Cyber Girl Super crystal to my brother.

I encountered a clear Anubis Wing and got a data crystal of him when I creamed him!

working on the formula for a rare borg sighting (almost done with alternate)

also while battleing the G-emperor kitsune had a crystal issac really depressed me
cus i unessecarily killed him with a cyber hero and a imperial knight (i was using imperial knight to practice my infinite combo (kinda like roy's dancing blade i guess) on it i got to 999 after 10 min XD and dealt no damage to it ) in a very sad attempt to get it

i got a gold neo g-red instead XD

IT takes for me for me ALOT of battles for me any rare color borgs (not alternate color). And I'm on play 8, not counting g-reds I have 3 crystals 1silver and 1shadow no golds I also have 3 crystal data crystals

I encountered a silver Star Hero today. I didn't get its data crystal though

it was in the "Cooperate with Tsutomu to retake the Marketplace!" level

guess what, I was in the Retake Serenity Street stage (y'know, the one where Sho decides to join the Gotcha Force) and there was this crystal Cyber Atlas ( ;D) and he, along with a Cyber Mars combined into a Cyber Machine Suzaku. When the transformation wore off, I started going after the crystal Cyber Atlas, I wanted to get his data crystal, but Sho finished him off first with his Blade Wing!
