Sakurai was "intrigued" by G Red in Brawl. Shadow Girl got a cameo in Capcom Fighting Jam.
Any chance we'll see our eponymous game represented?

really?! so how'd your boss get his hands on it? In the next town over from the Display shop where I part-time work, a guy with a warehouse full of old-time arcade consoles was selling them. We also got an original Soul Calibur, two racing arcade consoles (I don't remember what they're called), and one with light guns (again, don't remember the name). All that was missing was a Darkstalkers and Street Fighter then I would never leave work! ;D Sorry I took so long to reply.

As for Shadow Girl, thats news to me.

Waaaaaaaay too much of a skill less spam fest for me. What are you talking about?! Are you kidding? Almost every character has a spammable move (usually a long range one) and whole characters are based around long range spamming (Magneto, Dr. Doom, etc.). In fact, I once played (MvC2) against Mr. Won a ton of tourneys and I beat him using Ironman, War Machine, and Dr. Doom. I just spammed the hell out of my lasers. My friend picked up the third game, the meta where I live quickly devolved into spam offs. Sure there are combos and stuff in the game, sure you can air juggle people, but none of that matters when spamming is just as effective (if not more so), takes less skill, and is so much easier to pull off. A few times we actually tried to have legit matches, but whenever someone was on thin ice they would spam. I am not saying that all we do is spam, but spamming is to ingrained into the game to ignore or pretend it doesn't exist. If I am going to play a fighter I would prefer to play one that needs skill, one like Blaz Blue or Guilty Gear.

I will most likely get this game. I forget how many hours I spent of MvC2. Although if I do it won't be for a while, since this month I got Pokemon Black and next month I plan on getting Final Fantasy Duodeciem.
EDIT: And to follow up and what Dilly said. I also really love Guilty Gear, and Blazblue and would much rather play them with my friends but more of my friends are interested in playing MvC3, which is quite disappointing.

Well dillybar, you took the time to argue your side of the story and I respect that. As for Blaz Blue and Guilty Gear, I'll admit that they are two great games.

Thanks, with this being the internet and all it seems like whenever someone has a different opinion than someone else everyone gets super defensive about what they like. Glad to see that we aren't going to be going there

So, there's one other person at least that plays this.
I picked it up yesterday, though I never played the original. By the time it hit the top of my priority list in games, I found out about Ultimate, so I just waited. Very smooth, Capcom... Ultimate announced 6 months after the original released, and released just 3 more after that. From what I see though, I would have buyed Ultimate even at full price if I played the original, this is one heck of an 'expansion.'
Well like I said, never played the first one, so yesterday was Training mode spam and Easy arcade. Today, I hit some training, and I can pull off slightly advanced combos and beat normal mode most of the time without continues... But this game is pretty awesome.

^ Same for me. I had the first one, but after not playing for months I went back to training to re-sharpen my skills and to test out the new characters. Seriously... after hearing that Phoenix Wright was going to be included, I HAD to know how the h*** he fights...
By the way, what system do you have it for?

Phoenix Wright... He's scary if you can enter his turnabout mode, and useless otherwise.
Got it on Xbox, since I don't have a PS3.
P.S. With my luck with friends and consoles, I know you have it on PS3.

UMvC3's existence annoys me; despite the fact that we now have the DLC system to serve the purpose of the 8 versions of every Capcom fighter ever made, Capcom still makes fighters like it's 1995(-ish). In the meantime, games that actually need full sequels get ignored. DAMN IT CAPCOM I WANT GOTCHA FORCE 2!
