For me, the absolute most disappointing film ever was The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I mean, it had Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman doing voices, it was based on The Official Best "Trilogy" Everâ„¢ and it had an absolutely brilliant opening:
Then... well, they were the only good points about the film. It was an absolute travesty otherwise.
So how 'bout you, which film were you really excited for but it just fell short? How about one that had an excellent opening then just... sucked?

Knowing & The Day The Earth Stood Still. They both have well known great actors in them, but they are just not any good at all. There's like 1 good scene in each of them and thats it.

The Day The Earth Stood Still. I went to see this with a couple of friends. We all agreed that they only made half a film. I wanted to see actual, y'know, plot resolution?
