Here's the situation. Recently my PC just failed. A ton of effors occured for no apparent reason and now i'd like to try and fix them. My first issue is my Sound Drivers. I currently have no sound on my PC at all. When i go to control panel and then "Audio and Sound Devices" I am shown the following... See that Icon? It means the file is either Missing, Broken or a file that my PC doesn't understand right? I am shown that Icon for all sounds under "Program Events" The names of the things with that same Icon... 1. Windows (as you can see) 2. NetMeeting 3. Windows Explorer (which often encounters problems and has to close) 4. Windows Messenger (which doesnt work. I have to use a Net based messenger as some of you may know) Heres somthing else i don't get... Here it says "This device is working properly" but shouldn't their be a location for the device rather then it saying "Location Unknown" ? Where it says "SoundMAX Integrated Digial Audio" their is a location for that device. But from "Audio Codecs" down, it just says "Location Unknown" I assume i'll have to somehow replace all of these files right? But im not sure how to do that or even how to find the right files. Any suggestions will be helpful (Links to sites that offer repairs for these files or new downloads would be great) Any info you may need of my system, just ask and i will tell.

I managed to sort the drivers already ;D
It seems those icons don't mean theres a problem after all.
