That file seems so small. Just over 2000KB O.o
-Clicks the link-
How can such a thing be only 2MB in size? =o
-Extracts-
Fails to run because somthing is missing...
-Extracts again-
Fails again, here's what im told...
This applicatin has failed to start because rgss102e.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I never installed it in the first place O.o

Logs now on hold. You need somthing called 7zip to extract the files. Then you'll get a group of files and 1 will be the maker. www.7-zip.org/ - Get this Right, now theirs 2 options. 32-Bit or x 64. x64 is for Vista only whereas 32-Bit is for both Vista and XP (The one i have and it works fine) Simply download it and install it. Then when ever you right click on a file, you'll see 7zip. You then click on extract files or extract here and they should do it. I had to do this when trying to get Gotcha Force on my PC. That never worked but the same thing has worked for other stuff like this RPG Maker, only it says somthing is missing >.<

Oh! I forgot to mention. you're gonna have to install an RPG Maker XP. Look up "RPG Maker XP site" and just click it. If it says the site was moved, just click on a link on the window, and boom it'll take you straight to that place.

i really dont like the XP version that much, im more of a 2003 version guy, its easier to do sideview battles in 2003 and also easier to use vehicles and worldview kind of stuff.
But the xp has better graphics for skills and you can find more resources for battle sprites, you could always make your own though.
Then again, 2003 has comes with a wider selection of sprites xD

Okay i found this tkool.jp/products/rpgxp/eng/rtp_download.htmlI do what it says but when installing Setup (PC pic) (Which im not even sure im meant to do) its in some funky language (Lots of squares) So im not gonna install it XD I am now confused... Help Mr Samurai Man (Musashisuya) EDIT: Okay im gonna do it... -Does it...- It works but it's only a 30 day trial >.< Heres what you do... Download the RPG Maker file Download 7zip if you haven't already (Link is in this topic, look up) Extract the files from the downloaded RPG maker file Then download the file i have put in this post. Click on it and run it, DO NOT extract files, it will do that itself. Then open the folder created and there will be 2 files saying setup One of them is a picture of a PC (The other looks like a notpad file) Click the one that looks like a PC The text may be funky (It was with me) but just press the button where next usually is. It will install and you can use RPG Maker, i think (When typing this i've only just done the above so im not sure whats gonna happen) But it's only a trial >.<

I'm making an RPG on RGP Maker VX, but it's really tough. You get a set of default stuff but you have to find and import other stuff if you want it.
My progress is slow, it's hard learning variables, scripts and the database >.<'
Oh, but my RPG isn't about Gotcha, it's about me but I'm trying to make it funny.
I know one guy that's serious about it. He's got permission to use all sorts of stuff so he can sell his game when it's done.
