I don't mean to impose, but I've hit a wall.
== The Situation ==
You see, my Youtube Channel, which goes under the same name as my current display name, was going to be a Let's Play channel.
Now, while the fact that my recording system was a smouldering pile of dragon guano is undeniable, that's something I can take care of.
The problem is both the Avatar and the Background I was going to use don't work on YT.
== Slightly Technical information ==
The avatar has to be a minimum of 250 pixels by 250 pixels as per YT standards. It can be cropped from a large picture, which is what I've done as a temporary fix.
The wallpaper, or channel art as they call it, has to be 2048 pixels wide and 1152 pixels tall and no more than 2MB. The only photo's I can acceptably resize to this standard are far too many MB large.
== The actual art ==
To be quite honest, I'm not too picky. Unfortunately, I can't be slacking either. I don't want to look like a terrible amateur.
At the same time, there's not a lot I definitely want on the avatar. I have no artistic ability, so I wouldn't know what's rather nice in regards to style. If you want - I have to give you some input into this considering you are doing all the hard work - it could be as simple as a Green V and S overlapping each other, with a silver or black outline. Or, you could base it off some game series I'm currently playing - I posted them in the "What are you currently playing" thread back in the "other games" board.
As for the Background? Whooo boy, I'm not even sure I want to put anyone through making something that big.
These are the times I wish I could draw something better than stick figures, because I hate to ask for help from people who don't even have a reason to help me other than pity.

Thanks. . . wait, are you sure you put the right link? All that comes up when I click that link is a 100 by 100 image saying "hosted by minitokyo."
I appreciate the help Claxus - oh, and I still say your sig is my favorite - but methinks you mistyped the link.

Well, I'm pretty incapable of actually making something so huge. It's a wallpaper, and I didn't make it, but it's something that screams VerdantShade if you ask me, and you should be free to use. The previous link works for me, but here, this should work no questions asked: i.imgur.com/ZxFEhqk.jpgThat's assuming you don't mind an awesome verdant + shaded Gundam background, anyway... On the other hand, I probably could cook up an avatar, I think I can make something decent on a smaller scale. But yeah not a lot to go on... Antares with a Force? A green Arrowhead? Green Teleport Ninja?

Green Teleport Ninja? By wall that is holey, I'm a Green Gundam now, that's perfect for a background! I can't thank you enough.
Now, as for the avatar.
Of your ideas, I feel that an Antares-class carrier borg with a bydo-tissue Force Device might be a bit cramped in that space - though I wouldn't stop you if you could pull it off.
A green R-9A Arrowhead is all too fitting, considering what colors I tend to use on my favorite ships in R-Type Final. Though, it's not necessarily my favorite ship, but then again my favorite ship doesn't even have a sprite to its name.
A green Teleport Ninja? How'd you guess my favorite ninja borg? I mean really, it's not like I ever mentioned it was my favorite on this website or anything. Hm. . . I'm afraid green just doesn't quite fit Teleport Ninja, at least as far as I can tell. . . but then again, what do I know about that marvelous mystery called ART.
All things considered, I think I'd do well as a green Standard or Bydo force - I've always liked them. If you wanted to be unusual, I'd fit as a green Meltcraft - the liquid metal imitations of the R-9 as deployed by Xelf-16.
There are some other ideas for avatars which come to mind, and one especially so. . .
Unfortunately, this "one thing" which really comes to mind - the Phoenix Mk.II of RefleX, the middle game in SITER SKAIN's The Tale of ALLTYNEX trilogy - has almost no reference material floating around on the internet and especially no sprite rips or sprite copies. At most, you might find the player ship from the prequel - the KAMUI #2 - from the game of the same name.
To be honest, avatars are not always permanent and I already have a placeholder of sorts - a cropping of the RefleX wallpaper I have for my desktop with as much of the Phoenix Mk.II as I could fit, so I suppose making a new one, or waiting for one, in the future is acceptable - assuming, of course, that it isn't too much of a bother for you when the time comes.
So for now, if you really want to make me something, I'd be content with a Green Arrowhead or Green Standard Force. Nothing too fancy. You've done more for me than I could have hoped just by giving me your help.

Also, can I have a link to your youtube channel? I can't seem to find it.

Don't give away my secrets like that, he could have thought I was a cool mysterious guy who may or may not have known him. But, his channel's in the last hyperlink of his post. And lastly, I think Teleport Ninja looks pretty alright in green. I made a quick recolor of an old sketch, take a look. And don't worry, that's nothing near the effort I'd put into an avatar. That was just an outline I threw together in about 2 minutes for whatever reason I had back then, then got slightly serious about coloring it in.

That was just an outline I threw together in about 2 minutes for whatever reason I had back then, then got slightly serious about coloring it in. . . . I'm beginning to question if my head isn't just hot air, because I unfathomably thought that "Oh no, if you just take out all the blue and replace it with green, that's going to be some green overlap with those little green lights on his head."
You know, because obviously you can only change one color on a borg at a time - it's just like an alternate!
That's actually a fairly nice color scheme. I can see where that goes. . . though I'm not sure I'll play GF on an emulator for a while - it's not hard to get, but I'm lacking a good quality controller, and GF without a controller is too awkward. But that's just a problem that I've been too lazy to fix effectively - don't mind it.
Also, @ohgun : I was fairly certain I had posted about Teleport Ninja in the "Favorite Borg" topic, amongst other places. Though people might have picked up on it - alongside Orange Fighter and Antares, it's my most used Borg - and I had it long before I had an Antares just sorta fell into my lap.
- Local chief inspector of the Law and Order, Antares "Verdant" Clouseau on the case once again.
