So as a reward for working towards my exams or something, my mum bought me a near-mint condition Dreamcast. I don't know why but hey there we go.
Basically I wondered what games people like/what games are good on the Dreamcast so I can try them out. I'm already getting Power Stone 1/2 and Marvel vs. Capcom so yeah, thats it really.
I'd also like to ask: I'm getting a scart cable anyway just in case, but I was wondering whether I could use the scart cable to connect it to my LCD TV, or would it HAVE to be an old TV, because then I'm going to get a poor picture quality :/

Well it would more likely be for Dreamcast rather than GC since it's uber expensive on GC... but then I'm not particularly willing to spend £30 on a DC game.
Either that or pirate it... but I feel bad about pirating things I don't already own.

Ah, I knew there was something I was forgetting, I'll look out for them :3
I'm not really going to pirate anything... I like having games in their cases. It's why I really, really hate the concept of cloud gaming >.<

Jet Grind Radio, and maybe Grandia II. I don't like RPGs much, and rarely finish any, but Grandia II is just amazing, at least for its time. Great characters and dialogue, hilarious main character, and Grandia's signature turn-based yet real time battle system.
But don't pass up Jet Grind Radio.
And if you want an awesome mech game, Virtual On - Oratorio Tangram, but it's more for people who love Arcade-like games, and it has complex controls. More for dedicated gamers.
Just don't pass up Jet Grind Radio.

By Jet Grind Radio, you mean Jet Set Radio, yes? If so, I shall be getting that :3
I'll look for Grandia II as well after a quick bit of research on pedia, but Virtual On never actually came out in Europe so yeah, can't really get that legally.
I guess I could run a boot disc, but apparently they're all awful.
Edit: Eckk, Grandia II is £20, stop giving me such expensive game suggestions! >.<

Nah, Jet Set Radio Future is the Xbox release. Jet Grind Radio is the original on the Dreamcast.
And forgot to mention, like Steve said, Power Stone is a very fun game, too. I only played the second, though. Liked it a lot.

Welp... We're both right. The Europe release is called Jet Set Radio, while it was called Jet Grind Radio here.
As for Grandia II... Like suggested earlier, check out Skies of Arcadia if you want an RPG, then, though I dunno if it's any cheaper. I never finished the game, since I'm not too fond of RPGs, but even I can tell how great it is for RPG fans.
... Edit. I didn't read your post on how it's more expensive than Grandia. So... Forget that. Or just buy'em anyway.

But, if you dont want to get it, thats your loss.

^I didn't know SoA was on Dreamcast! Get it, Cryzor! It's the same game that got me into rpgs. There's also PSO, but I reccomend the gamecube version.

I think the dream cast version has less bounty fights and its missing the giant looper, monchu iseland, and something else, and all those are in the GC version, which was an enhanced port of the dream cast version. However, the dream cast version supposedly gives you the chance to SELL the delphinus (Yeah, like thats happening!) and buy a new ship, but that sounds ludicrous so they took it out of the GC version. Thats why meridia(?) exists- only useful as a crew member in the DC version.
