Umm... I recommend checking out something called RWBY
Uhh... watch this first.
Weird to think that that red vs blue thing which I never cared the slightest bit about, decided to make an anime series like this. Think about that. Silly halo machinima. This. Huh. There are two episodes but honestly outside of the fight scenes this diamond is rough to the point that it's basically just carbon. I'm pretty sure the trailers will be better than the show as a whole, which is like soul eater (Female protagonist with a scythe anyone? (Although Ruby seems very different to Maka so far.) but so far worse, and in very short time increments. Honestly episode 2 is like 6 minutes long what? Plus considering rooster teeth's background is comedy and they're attempting to emulate the anime style, that results in much of the writing being focused on comedy so... do the math.
Still, I vow support because the west needs more people trying stuff like this, plus I'd love to see more animation in this style, only, you know, better. Less vanishing cookies and silhouettes please. Anyway, it's an experiment and an aesthetic treat (because the soundtrack is also really good) so check it out.

Yes, something new and exciting! Even though 4Kids turned into the depressing Vortexx on Saturday mornings, this restores my hope! It really feels like going back into the good old days when these type of shows were all of what was on the mornings. I mean, it's kiddy and all and probably not amazing, but I'm kinda excited to see it start this coming Saturday.

Kirbopher's TOME series is, in general, well made. It's made more like a game (since that's what it actually is.) but it's good, albeit the artwork is somewhat...eh. The writing, MOST of the characters, the soundtrack, fight scenes, and comedy (like with ^ as you say.) is generally good. I'm not a fan of RoosterTeeth, but I'll check it out.

^ If taken as a whole Angel Beat's plot really is just ok but if you're like most people then you'll really like it by the end. Can't really view it objectively through all of those tears.
I watched some of TOME quite a while ago... not sure why I stopped because I didn't hate it, but I guess at the same time I generally wasn't that interested.

I'll be honest, the best characters aren't the mains, so you get less of them, which is dissapointing. Really, the best character is probably for me one of the minor "pushover villains." He's also easily the best voiced character. (I'm referring to Rockoon if you remember the characters.) Also, don't know where this goes.

Ive seen ep 1 of this and its not bad at all. Tta by kirb is also excellent. Currently im watching reruns of digimon seasons 1-3 And also watching majestic prince. It has the art style of gundam seed but the mecha are 3D. Its not too bad.

Kakumeiki Valvrave. Someone called it the stereotypically-anime anime and I kind of have to agree only 3 episodes in. Main character is in high school and about to confess his love when the space nazis attack and kill his would-be girlfriend while a super elite team of space teen nazis infiltrate the secret facility underneath the school housing the super OP mecha which gets accidentally sent up to the surface where our main character vows to avenge his would-be girlfriends death and climbs into the mecha whereupon he destroys the attacking space nazi troops and becomes the hero of the school but then gets taken out by one of the elite space teens except he doesn't actually die and is actually a vampire with the power to switch bodies with his victims and it turns out the girlfriend didn't actually die and the space teen just so happens to be the most elite soldier of the space nazis and the main character uses the space teen's body to escape before switching back and handing him in but space teen singlehandedly takes out the military police/SWAT team who are guarding him. Add in the main character blowing off the confession, being oblivious to the love triangle forming, and a super 1337 h4ck3r character who can hack into government communications and you've got Kakumeiki Valvrave. It's ridiculous. And I love it. Edit: This is literally a scene from the 3rd episode. What's going on: The space teen nazi has escaped and a team of police are looking for him in the facility. He jumps off the top of a metal tower staircase and falls past the guards with machine guns who all miss the guy traveling in a straight line. Then the bombs that he magically acquired and set up in the 15 minutes that he's escaped detonate one by one on the floors above him and he kicks himself sideways onto a nonexploding floor, just in time to escape the explosions from the other floors.

The mech wasn't accidentally brought to the surface I liked it a lot... But I think it tries to get too dark later on. You'll find as it goes on that its still full of surprises even though it's pretty stereotypical and full of cliches. Trust me, by the end of it, you'll be surprised how things are turning out for season 2. Although, it's not really in a good way IMO... I think it tried too hard for plot twists and drama and making it more mature. It doesn't sink well at all with the original premise of the anime. And especially after 'that' song. I'm hooked for season 2, but I'm gonna miss when it was a semi-dramatic, normal super robot show. Valvrave has an amazing design and weapons, it's perfect for a typical robot anime. Good luck for you for you~ I know you are hero~ In your life~ You'lll recognize 'that' song pretty soon. Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts once you're finished.

For the Netflix side of things, I've been kind of wondering what I should watch next since I finished all of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood episodes currently on it. So I guess I've been just watching Mythbusters on it until I can think of something better.
Right now though I have been watching the newest episode of this Youtuber called Jesse Cox, and his co-op playthough of Saints Row IV. They are pretty funny although if you want to watch them, be prepared for some butt clenching.

Hehe my Dad started watching the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya without a clue to what it was. I wasn't there when he started so I can only imagine how confused he is, since he knows nothing about the melancholy.

Turns out two of my close female friends have been following the anime 'free!' this season. I wasn't interested in it. However, one of them was also following Dangan Ronpa so that's fine. The other was feeling too lazy. So I promised her I'd watch free if she watched Dangan Ronpa. If she doesn't, and I haven't told her this, but I WILL execute her.
Anyway the point is Free is awful. Cliched, dumb, only exists for the fanservice. ... You all should totally watch it. It is the most hilarious anime I've ever seen in my life. I mean, the level of high energy cliche is so off the charts that it surpasses Gurren Lagann. GURREN. LAGANN. And at least Gurren Lagann had a point and actual stakes... Free... is about swimming. And there's not nearly as much yelling or high energy as Gurren Lagann, but trust me, everything else is cliche gold. And incredibly camp, which only seems to add to the hilarity. It feels like they wrote it as a typical highschool girls anime with the ingenious slant of having the girls be in a swim club, so they could justify putting them in swimsuits and such. Then at the last minuet they decided to reverse the gender of nearly every character. I don't think that's even a joke either, I mean, I obviously don't know what the real development process was but... Look just watch it you'll see what I mean. This anime deserves to be watched. And even if it doesn't, it's still a step in the right direction. Too many harem anime's directed at teenage boys. Girl's need some titillation too. Boy's themselves on the other hand may finally be able to taste what it feels like when a girl watches one of our favorite harem animes... the result is pure laughter.

Busou Shinki... It's kind of like, what if only Girl Borgs existed on Gotcha Force. And aside from battling, they'd also just be a part of daily life in the household. I'm serious.
It's interesting to say the least... The battles look really, really good, but it's actually majorly a slice of life anime.
Besides that, SKET DANCE! I'm at episode 40, and it's such an amazing anime overall.
