So far, 3 Gamecubes have fallen to Gotcha. By this i mean, they will refuse to load Gotcha but they will load any other game i have normally. I am now onto my 4th and probably final cube. When this one falls i will most likely buy a Wii.
So how many cubes has yours outlasted?

1 gamecube, i sold it though, but it never gave me any problems. i play gotcha on the wii now. actually, the wii has a gamecube built right in, thats why it can emulate gc games perfectly.

I got my Cube ( the black one) one day prior to its official release, because I bought it via an acquaintance of mine. Sadly, this year, it started having disc-reading problems, but the games usually worked if I only managed to start her up, but during a match VS Yuji and Usagi, it finally happened; the game froze. Not trusting my Cube to work anymore, I put her away. Now I play Gotcha via my Wii, but I really miss my Cube. The only other console to break down was my very first NES. My Cube have given me countless of joyous gaming hours. Melee had a couple of thousand alone, but all my Cube games are well-played. Gotcha, I can't even begin to count how many hours, so I measure its game-time in years.

One. My cube has had many near death experiences. Wiping memory cards, failing to turn on, falling off a shelf, but its survived it all and has hardly any problems now in its old age. There was even that memorable incident where it ordered me to format my memory card, so I did, reluctantly, then the next day I turned on my cube to find all the data restored . I love my cube

I heard that doing Glitches on Gotcha can effect the Cube. But i don't do many at all. Other then the clone glitch i did recently i haven't done any glitches since it was first spoken of on GameFAQ's.
Good times those were ;D

1 Gamecube, but it wasn't Gotcha Force specific, Gamecube had trouble starting spinning the disc, but after it started usually no problems, that is after a month later where it wouldn't spin at all.
It happened because I played Gamecube alot that the "Gears" wore out and the disc drive could not spin any longer.
(I opened it at the point where it wouldn't work at all thats how I know)

^ That sounds creepily similar to my Cube. If it's only a broken gear, it should be replaceable, no?
I miss my Cube.

Did you have to reopen and close the Disc Drive until the Gamecube could read the Disc? And Yeah I could replace it, but If I was to call Nintendo they would probably replace the Whole Drive altogether which would cost around the same as a New Gamecube. -.- So instead at that time I got a limited Edition Black Gamecube Bundle with Mario Kart that in the Mario Kart case had a Zelda Collectors Editon which had the First 2 Zeldas, OOT, MM and 3 Demo's of Wind Waker.

Thats what happens to my cubes. The game doesn't load properly anymore. I have to open and close the lid a few times before it loads properly.

Why does it still load other games fine then?
