I'm altering between Gotcha and Wild ARMs 4 & 5.

In Gotcha, I've had many epic moments, triumphs, rewards (both rare Borgs and crystals) and big losses which made me curse out loud.

I've completely restarted both WA games from scratch and doing great progress.

I can't stop playing it despite beating numerous times already.

The main character, Fiona, is even in my top rank list of favorite video game characters.


I highly, highly, highly recommend this game.

exactly how does the game work? like, i know that its a 3D fighter, but do you have like levels or ranks and stuff? how do you get stronger? its an MMo, right?

Yeah. It's an MMO.
When you level a bot, you get to choose what upgrades to add to it, like more cost capacity, faster boost recharge, upgrade core weapons, better defense. Better upgrades like not appearing on radar, or healing whenever a robot is killed, are locked until later levels like 6 or 9. You can also upgrade individual parts and weapons to give stat bonuses though that requires a bit of playing to get the materials needed. And then there's all kinds of different weapons.

For ranks, I don't think it actually does anything besides letting other players know around how long you've been playing and giving you bonus items when you rank up.

man, playing on the laptop is the absolute WORST idea i've ever had... can you imagine trying to shoot like that? well, it's difficult. i think we should move further talk of this onto the Cosmic Break thread, shall we?
