Monster Hunter tri. I would be playing infinite space, but I gave up when my 20 hour save file turned into a three hour one.

^ How's the gameplay?
Do you get EXP? Levels? Skills?
Is it free to explore wherever you want and do whatever you want or is there a set of tasks that's mandatory to do to being able to advance?
Is it offline/single player-friendly?

Lemme see. Do you get EXP? Levels? Skills? Exp, not per say. When you play online, completing quests/subquests nets you Hunter rank points which rank you up... but Hunter rank only lets you get to higher quests. after Hunter rank 30, you enter beefed up[ "High rank quests" where monsters are stronger but usually give high rank versions of normal carves. This enables you to make high rank armor and weapons, much stronger than normal. Skills are also different. They are related to what armor you are wearing, and the decorations attached to them. The armor and decorations give you either positive or negative points in different categories. For example, your attack, defense, bbq skills, and... your torso. They activate at -20, -15, -10, +10, +15, and +20. However, not all skills have a skill at 15 or 20, and some skills starta t 15 and not 10. For a list, go here. monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Armor_Skill_List and monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Jewel_Decoration_List There are also a second set of skills. These are activated by eating meals at the tables online, or for offline, after the argosy come in talk to the cook next to the guild sweetheart. For that list, go here. Hint:Fresh food has a higher chance of giving more skills. monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Kitchen_Skills Is it free to explore wherever you want and do whatever you want or is there a set of tasks that's mandatory to do to being able to advance? Well there is a story for offline, but it isn't any award winner. I hear its a much better reason to be questing than the previous monster hunter games though. Most people pick uop the game for the thrill of the hunt. any ways, there are quests that need to be done to progress, but there is still a good number that don't need to be done. For a list, again, go here. Offline:http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Offline_Quests Online:http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Online_Quests However, when offline, you are completely free to explore moga woods, to hunt and gather at your leisure. You could faint 100 times and there would be no penalty, save losing time getting kitty carted back to base, tossed onto the stone floor like some sack of flour, and watching cats disappear. Yes, cats do take you back to base on some little cart. <_< >_> Is it offline/single player-friendly? While the most of the fun comes from 4 man online parties, the offline is still fun, and there is a monster that can only be fought offline. Slight spoilers for a game with minimum story, but you eventually help out a shakalaka kid by the name of cha-cha who begins to come with you on quests. (You have to tlak to him to bring him along though) As you prgress, you can get different masks for him. These masks change his personality and abilities. For details, go here. monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Cha-Cha_Guide For the monster hunter series in general, hike on over here. monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Hunter_Wiki ... Side note, I think that is my longest legit post ever.

I see. Too bad about the EXP and levels though. I'd prefer that over better-equipment-only, but I guess that's a good aspect as well.

Still playing Def Jam: Fight for NY.
One of the best fighting games I have ever played, ever, even if one's not a fan of rap.

I've been playing the Touhou games for the past week, starting at 7, because i can't work the emulator for numbers 1-5, and number 6 is being stupid. Anyone know how to work the emulator (anex86)? I also beat Touhou 7.5 two days ago. SAKUYA FTW! ;D now i am bashing the tables because I can't seem to beat Touhou 7 on EASY MODE. IT'S NOT EASY!!! i don't know how those demonstrators do it. I keep playing and always die at stage 5!... *saddened* not so sure how long it'll take to go all the way up to 12.5 ;D

I'm alternating between Gotcha Force and Shadow Hearts 3.
I've also developed quite the urge to re-start BoF 3 & 4, but it isn't so very long ago I already made great gamefiles on those two...
I hate RPGs that doesn't have New Game+ features...
