Gotcha Force Competitive rules

So essentially, each 2 options are a seperate poll, so by "pick 4" it means pick 1 out of each set of 2.

Since nobody can decide on discord, democracy will decide for us.

Ain't been on the discord for a while so thanks for putting this up. Here's my thoughts.

1: Should definitely be a point buy system that isn't the GF energy cost. 1 large dragon is worth way more than 10 normal ninjas for instance, and one DB Sigma 2 is worth way more than a Tank or Musha in a lot of cases, so it's not reliable at all.

2: Length probably won't matter. Maybe 8 minutes per match at most, but idk how to decide who wins (number of borgs left isn't reliable, and number of points left on the team doesn't seem to be either).

3: Ubers should be banned/given its own tier and ruleset.

4: I'd prefer a hybrid system where some borgs can have dupes and others can't. I'd tie it to the point buy system in some way. No one really cares if you wanna run two Normal Ninjas instead of a NN+Sasuke, but running multiple Sigmas or Dragons would probably be busted. Maybe limit it by Tribe instead?

I mean if i've gotta pick i'm gonna go with no dupes, but i ain't happy about it.

I actually suggested the same thing for 1 and 4, well 1 as a whole was my idea. I said we should base it on the tier list Roks made.

Regarding point 3, ubers has a tier, but no ruleset, good idea, I'd love to hear suggestions on that!

And uh... as far as point 2 goes, i'd say just go with the game's ruling on who wins. Since even if it times out on the match time (at least, I think you can set one.) the game calculates a winner. Just keep that in place. As far as time goes, I think some people wanted to use the smash system, where you play multiple matches as one set, and the winner of the set moves on. So doing smaller timed matches per set. (I personally would rather just have one long match, since sets would get rather monotonous.) but... 🤷🏼‍♂️

The problem I see with time limits is flying borgs hugging the ceiling for a time win. Also where is the teir list I’d like to see, a point buy system makes the most sense.
