www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnf_chQh-eYI wasn't aware this series was a thing, it looks like the combat gameplay is super similar to Gotcha Force. Highly interested in looking at more later.

This is where Gotcha Force stems from, really. They're both Capcom's series, too. Some of the really older games were localized, but you probably haven't heard about it because Gundam Vs. has been Japan-only for quite a long time now. I think it's like the #1 popular game series in Japan, at least in arcades.
Fortunately (and part of why I think this is one of the most pivotal E3s to date), that one in particular is the first in those long, long years that's getting localized. And fairly close to the Japanese release, too. This one I believe also has over a hundred units to play, it definitely has close ties with Gotcha Force. They have varying costs too and stuff. Only it's actually fairly balanced and played competitively...

The game just got a free downloadable beta today, if anyone's interested. My friend has left his PS4 at my house. I must ask if I can play this.

IT DOESN'T HAVE LOCAL MULTIPLAYER. DAMN IT. Does that really matter? If you want local multiplayer you may as well play Gotcha Force.

About 60% of the fun i've had with Gotcha Force was playing with my brother and friends. Without that i'd have stopped playing years before i did. It's like having a Halo game with no splitscreen, yeah there's other stuff you can do but the most fun stuff is outright impossible.
Plus i haven't been able to play Gotcha Force for literal years. The disks we had stopped working, i moved out and couldn't take the gamecube/wii with me, and for the cherry on top my brother lost our memory cards a year or two ago so i'd have to start over from scratch for the third time even if i could play.

Most game stores can buffer discs for a small fee. 2. You can get a gamecube under 50 dollars easily. 3. Memory cards are cheap and there are ways to connect them to PC, which would allow you to download Death Eye's completed save that he has put here.
