It's more like I forget what I was doing and find it more tedious to try and figure that out especially with the sheer number of side quests that can be ran concurrently so as to make your todo list absurdly long. Plus I always feel the need to play the entire game on the hardest difficulty setting when available and refuse to do it any easier (which has stalled progress in Digimon CS because the devs were terrible at balancing it and I refuse to use a tailor made team).

Most of the zelda games, er well, the newer ones, have some sort of companion to remind you what you were doing. Regarding the sidequests, usually they are just for like, ammo upgrades, or a better sword, but by no means are necessary to finish the game. I usually don't even bother collecting all the hearts, unless i'm just really bored, or like, can't get past a boss or something. Since the bosses in the newer games are more "puzzle oriented" than in previous ones though, usually i don't need the extra hearts lol. I haven't played botw yet though, so I may be dead wrong on all this. My friend played it, his review was "good, but not what I expected. And needlessly frustrating with the weapons constantly breaking."

Just ignore the sidequests and come back to them later. Pfff. Who plays Zelda like that? That's not how you play Zelda at all. Proper Zelda formula: Get starting gear. Do everything you can in overworld. Proceed to dungeon 1- get dungeon item. Leave dungeon- do all you can in overworld. Return to dungeon 1. Beat dungeon 1. Proceed to subsequent dungeons-and repeat above. (Note, you may have already completed parts of subsequent dungeons using this method. Proceed to finish all the dungeons except the penultimate dungeon.) Grind rupees playing mini games here. Do penultimate dungeon, or finish it. Find all heart pieces/upgrades missed. Important!: finish trading quest here, since it usually gives you the best weapon in game for clearing it. Enter final dungeon- (note, in ocarina of time and majora's mask, certain items/ heart pieces can only be found in the final dungeons.(the light arrows in WW also follow this rule, but are virutally useless outside of the final dungeon.)) Proceed to clear last dungeon and own ganon's face off. Cry that you wasted literally 2 weeks of your life. Feel Joy that you've saved Hyrule again.

The thing about that is that after the first two hours of the game, you unlock the entire map. That means you're instantly dumped with over 100 possible sidequests, and access to any of four dungeons in any order. There's also 900 little hidden buggers to find throughout the game world, like 70 shrines not tied to a sidequest, and that you also need to take a picture of hundreds of things in the game for completion...
And again, after two hours, you can do all of that in any order.
... It's a game that laughs at the old Zelda formula.

Don't forget that now there is also extra damage, extra dlc quests, Ana motorcycle to tool around with. And other physics shenanigans to waste time on.

All of this said. I would totally do the Tarrey town quest again. One of the best subplots in the series. Even if you do have to massacre a forest for it.

I am willing to vote in favor of giving you just ALL of the maymay points.

The % showing on the map screen. Most likely a major part of it are the Koroks, but I guess treasures or even locations counts towards it also. This game has like infinite gameplay value. - Admin

I played it for 80 hours, got all the shrines, and left it at that; no way could I be bothered to go find everything.Good for you, though. How many hours thus far?
