If this is the wrong section for this; Move it plz.
But anyway...
Lets put this into perspective real fast.
I'M SPOILING THE MOVIE; SPHEALWITHIT.JPG
Small Soldiers centers around some kid who has a squad of good guys(Gorgonites), in the form of small action figures of course, who do battle against the rogue Commandos, also toys of the same scale, who are bent on not only defeating the Gorgonites but also, apparently, killing anyone else who gets in there way/sides with them.
The parallels with this and Gotcha Force are really obvious;
The main kid(I forget his name) is Kou; Bonus points for having a "girlfriend" in the former, to which, the later obviously is Usagi- *shot*
Archer, the main Gorgonite, is G Red.
Commandos are obviously Death Force; Ironically they lack a humanoid commander. Though, the franken-Barbies do vaguely resemble the Delta series.
The main kid finds the rest of his team in a box(It's a dumpster; shoosh).
The Gorgons, realistically, do more damage then the humans do; Only Gotcah Borgs can beat other Borgs.
The Gorgons win because they have the kid on their side; Gotcha Borgs become stronger this way anyway.
Gorgons are outnumbered by cannon fodder that Chip brings in via truck near the end; Typically stages contain a hell of a lot more Borgs then are on your Force.
etc.
The only HUGE difference here.... Is that the kid kills Chip via using him to make an EMP.
I mean, lets be honest. You could probably do the same thing in Gotcha Force, if the humans were ever visible on the stages/etc.
'Course... Both Small Soldiers and Gotcah Force were made in two totally different years and in parts of the world, but let's be honest... The similarities are quite amusing. Or at least, the way I see it.
But anyway...
