so does anyone ever been able to figure out what the orange on serenity street, and... i think its the pit, is for when yuji and sho team up? cause you fight them like twice, and they are on the orange square, but after that there are like two orange squares still there and no fights. i get that it marks territory, just like the cloudy black space marks the death force, and blue is for kakeru, though its only used once. like are there fights there that im missing because i didnt win/lose a certain fight?

You're not far enough in the game. Eventually a mission will appear.

is that what it is? because i want to say that in my past 5 playthroughs i always end up with at least one area still orange by the end of that "chapter" or whatever you want to call the things where it shows the game art during the loading screen.

But why is it even orange? Like, the black area make sense, they're infested with Death Borgs. But why do Sho/Yuji get an orange area of dominance, and why only once?

Sho doesn't really have a fitting color, and they couldn't make the hexes rainbow, to fit Yuji.

No, but I mean... why does he even have a color? Orochi and Tama have black because it represents something. It represents the presence of a concentration of Death Borgs in that area. What is the Sho's area supposed to be? Why does he have a colored area?

Sho is a Bamf! Are you telling me he doesn't almost add up to an army?

I never really considered the black or orange as representing something physical, since a good number of the "Defeat the Death Force!" fights don't blacken their parts of the map. More like an abstract representation of control of the area? Iono. Maybe the orange represents the land being set ablaze by Sho's fierce fury. It's not red because the pink of Yuji's fury balances it out. More likely they thought it would look like a one-sided war if there was just black areas and normally colored areas, and then Sho wouldn't really have a visual presence on the map. So they picked a random color. Black was taken and purple wasn't deemed manly enough for Sho despite it being in his outfit ;3 I should sleep ...
