Since you went with Death Eye's Spike Knight, and considering the fact you plan to add my Hammer Robot- Your team has a slight mace ball motif... Heh...

Some Death Force mission: Tar Diver, launch! I fought for a while without using the Negative Zone. Is it just me, or is he actually stronger and faster while the field's not active? I have to test this further...(Got none of the alts) It would be really interesting if that turned out to be true, but I probably wouldn't give up the tar bubble for extra strength. It's just too effective at shutting down enemy borgs. Copy Man killed Hammer Knight while changing into him, then I somehow managed to catch Chainsaw and Magnet with one spinning attack. Some more fighting, Copy Man is wearing out... I copy Nekobe's signature special Vampire Knight(?)! I've never tried any of the character borgs... Anyway, a hyper mode and spin attack spamming later, I went from 70~ HP back to 180 HP. Then, I was back in the game to copy Isaac and have a 1 on 1 Isaac duel for the win! Wow, Copy Man is really, really cool. Copy Man seems like a fun character to use, adapting to whatever borg you end up copying. Also adds a bit of strategy to killing borgs since you obviously want to remove a powerful borg from attacking you but you also want to be able to keep copying him. How did you get those screenshots without the ammo and GF energy bars getting in the way?

I didn't test it much, but I realized even with the field up I did a big chunk of damage using the diver field. Angel Nurse also has laughable defense and very average HP... But I dunno, my eyes showed like 2.5/4 or 3/4 of her HP gone just from a ground combo?
Again, that's his strongest attack, though, which hurts anything decently. Likely just a coincidence, I doubt the divers are that deep. But it may also be an awareness thing. Without the field, I focus more on controlling and dodging and not being reckless. That, and there's no big orb obstructing my vision. Thus, I feel faster. As for damage, I'll have to test it next sitting. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if his damage is suppressed with the field because of how strongly (cheaply) it affects enemies, but I doubt they'd have damage (and speed) altering mechanics for two borgs.
And yeah, the final form Teleport Ninja is a blast. Having to pick your form from current enemies is cool because you can pick out the best fit for every situation, but you also have to be aware whatever you kill is one less option. It's usually not a problem, though. The main thing you want to keep track of is HP and being stuck with death borgs. Virtually anything you copy is good at least against itself, so that's fine, and makes him useful for almost anything besides fortess borgs, but dunking your HP by changing into a goon is kinda bad.
About the screenshots, well, Carrier Helicopter's hook is good at changing the game into a special dynamic camera without a HUD (or sense of direction to know how the heck you're moving). So there's an use for that hook besides hanging an allied borg in front of a Vampire Knight. Alternatively, you could actually achieve similar results by using the Dolphin emulator's manual camera movement hack, but that's different and you can take pictures with a floating pause menu and red crosshair on the battlefield, too.

Random Death Force in Serenity Street: Team right now is Sword Knight, Tar Diver, and Spike Knight. Barely made this one. That is all. Death Force in the Pit: Really easy. Three Red Strikers, though... Sword Knight can actually hurt them a lot with his charged sword. Tar Diver had an easy time gliding through the air and matrixing them to finish up. Cooperate with Usagi to defeat the ICBM tanks: Copy Man, Tar Diver, Wire Girl, Spike Knight. Copy Man is fast. After their initial strike, killing one of their own, I pulled off my hero move just as I hoped. Stand next to an ICBM, and copy it right as the other one's missiles hits us. The explosion hit the enemy while I transformed invincibly! Then I shot a nuke at the other one and died of course. Tar Diver mops up by slowing the last one's launch countdown severely! Kotaro's Crash Course: Against Tetsuya and Tsutomu. Copied Shogun Samurai! Died to it, too, but it was almost dead to my OP charge attack. Let's go, Tar Diver! *OHKO'd* Guess not. Wire Girl took on the rest easily... Part 2^: Let's try this again. Usagi instead of Tsutomu. Copied Shogun again and this went well. Deid to Barrier Girl, but she was no match for Tar Diver's barrier. Hero borg unit!: Oh boy... Teleport Ninja can't bail me out here. Oh, wait, maybe he can. Copy Man, Wire Girl, Sword Knight, Spike Knight. Well... Copied the silver star guy as I hoped. Should have seen that wouldn't go as well as I hoped, though. Metal Hero's transformed.. IT'S A CHANCE! Changed into him. Filth of the land, hear my words, and see my actions! I am Copy Man, servant of justice! And this is my ultimate blade, bane of evil! Together, we will rain death upon y--. It was a nice try... Wire Girl and Sword Knight died without any kills... GG. Spike Knight finshed off all 5. Um, okay. Part 3 of the crash course thing: Now with Nekobe. Carigun Heli, Sword Knight, Wire Girl, Copy Man. Carrier took most of it home... Sword Knight died a pathetic death to Chainsaw Knight. Wire Girl avenged him, and then I beat Nekobe's special Vampire Knight with just her melee. Yep. Battle with Sho and Yuji: Uh oh, time to step it up. Same team should do... Poor Carrier Heli, I wonder why it was infamous for being bad... Took out a Diver and a half, Jet Hero, and almost Blade Wing with a missile carnival. Sword Knight had it pretty bad against a diver, but managed to finish it off at least as he died. Thankfully, Little Hill is a great stage for cover. Wire Girl's role was pivotal here, using wires to weave in and out of cover, knocking the two of them back with damaging beams and reeling back to safe areas. GARUDA WANTS TO PLAY. Somehow managed to fend him off while taking out the last diver borg, then had an intense game of peekaboo against him around a log. Got him to about half HP... But that's fine, because Sho, it's about time someone teaches you a lesson... YOUR BORG IS DANG OVERPOWERED. Teleport Ninja, show him our strength! *Long transformation sequence. Copy Minjaman grows Garuda wings, etc.* An intense aerial battle with me abusing his own ridiculous charged explosion beam ensues. Then I go in for the stylish ending. I am Copy Ninjaman... And you, are, history! Victory! Another Death Commander: *Sigh*... I don't get a break, do I? Sword Knight, Spike Knight, Wire Girl, Tar Diver. I think I'm pretty ill-equipped for this... Sword Knight did decent damage upon spawning on Tama's fortress. Got knocked off, then lured Orochi behind the hills, managed to take out her Death Samurai thing, and some of Switching Ninja. Tama still got in some of his shots that go through walls, but I could shrug them off enough. Spike Knight finishes Switchy, clashes a lot with Elemental Knight's rocket punches with his hammer, eventually died to Orochi's flying reaper thing. Wire Girltook it out just before dying... Well, fortunately, Tar Diver can handle this now. I quickly found out he can't slow down the giant ship... Thought it was over, but I jumped as high as I could off of it, and started air-dashing over it. He flies for virtually forever, so I was just weaving above him through all the beams and raining a very slow death with jelly shot spam! It was actually kinda cool and fun to fight it like that. Tar Diver's really proven to be a lot cooler and more useful than I had thought at first. Sho and Yuji again: ... Uh, nah. I'll pass on this for now.

Sho and Yuji (Again): Spike Knight, Wire Girl, Tar Diver, Copy Ninjaman. Focused on Sho. Wire Girl took out Blade Wing, then Wire Girl and Tar Diver barely hurt Garuda. Copy Ninjaman with Hyper Mode made a miraculous comeback as Garuda, then took out the two remaining divers as divers. Yuji and Met: This game's getting to that point, huh? This was super easy actually, Spike Knight killed stuff till a nuke killed everything, and Wire Girl dueled Arrow Ninja for the finish. Death Eye Unit!: Carrier, Sword Knight, Tar Diver, Wire Girl, Copy Ninjaman. Wow, I can fit all these in a force now? Well, the initial lineup is bad on purpose. As expected, this was a long, boring fight that I spent most of the time wishing for death as a Death Eye, until Wire Girl came out. I noticed the thing that turns you into a Death Eye is very similar to Copy Man, though. The Hot Battle!: Carrier took most of this one home. Purely ground-centric, close quarters units. The second Fire Dragon blindsided me, though. Sword Knight took out a Flame Ninja and took massive damage from the other... Tar Diver finished off the last Flame Ninja, died to the dragon before getting in range. Wire Girl finished it easily. I managed to get some pretty cool screencaps here. 1. 2. 3. Copy Man Unit!: Sword Knight, Tar Diver, Carrier, Wire Girl, Copy Man. Even if they copy Sword Knight, a horde of those is easier to handle than anything with real range. Tar Diver got turned into a Death Eye, then something hooked me and nuked everything to death? Something fun happened after that. Got blown to smithereens by missiles in my face... Wire Girl vs. Wire Girl for the finish. Wire Girl won. Defeat a Death Commander: Time to spice things up a bit. Welcome aboard, Hammer Robot. Team is now him, Spike Knight, Wire Girl, and Copy Man. Geez, Wire Girl just fits anywhere. As I hoped, Hammer Robot just spammed hammers while dashing from below, taking out most of the Beam Satellites. Spike Knight takes into the air with jumping-shots and glides around spamming his hammer. Finished off both Satellites, and half of the ship's HP. Wire Girl Hyper Mode wins. Honestly, I'm not sure what I would have done had it come down to Copy Ninjaman. Protect the Death Crystal: Orochi... Better fight only her first, because keeping the death borg fatties at the start is always better than dealing with the gem knights or whatever else comes out. And I was able to do just that. Hammer Robot, you're insane. Kills just about anything in at most three hits... Chrono Samurai wanted to end my streak, but Hammer Robot entered ghost mode! Just as I was able to move again, I tossed my hammers, and TIME STOP! For real? But this was rather hilarious. All she did was try to keep cross slashing me, but my hammers were out in front of her. Took Chrono out, took out her reaper thing, then Hyper Mode... I OHKO'd like 4-5 borgs, then killed a few more out of hyper. Spike Knight mopped up. Almost. Wire Girl finished. Again. Defeat a Death Commander: *Sigh*... I'm sorry. I used a partner here because fortresses are sooo boring. Kakeru... Okay. This may have been cheating. I might actually not have made this fight considering my team, and the fact that there's a huge ship and waves of deadly long range borgs. But I managed to do it with just my first two borgs... Oh well. Hero Borgs!: Hammer Robot gave his life focusing on Star Hero because he's ridiculous. Spike Knight fought most of the remnants, 'till I screwed up a bit and died, meleeing Metal Hero using his final blade. Kinda let myself die as Wire Girl just so I could copy Metal Hero and finish him off with that awesome attack. Protect the Crystal (With Kakeru): Hammer robot breezing through everything again. I'd argue this guy is a good opponent for G-Red... His damage and huge accurate shield-like hammers are off the charts, plus mines keeps things away and can generate huge Hyper Mode energy against large borgs. Hey, Wire Girl finished here again. Plus he has huge tank stats. Cooperate with Sho against Orochi: Switched Wire Girl for Sword Knight. Team's still the same because I'm enjoying this steamrolling hammer-fest. Wow, took on the entire thing with Hammer Robot and Spike Knight. I really like Spike Knight more, though. He's basically Neo Hammer Knight, which was already one of my favorites, with a much larger moveset. The spike roll seems to be very effective against giant borgs of any kind, and the rolling itself along with hopping can make it difficult to hit you. Of course, he's way faster than Hammer Robot and can stay in the air. Welp, that should do it for this session. Robots with mace hammers wrecking Orochi and several dragons and a bunch of other stuff.

.....Despite the fact Hammer Robot is a favorite of mine, I'm starting to think that may have been a bit of an overkill choice to suggest for friendship runs.

As far as I can tell, he's like a Megaton Robot with two spike heads at a time that have crazy accuracy and return to you... And great mines. Didn't really intend to change my team around once chosen, but I may switch to Megaton because he's much more tame even with his powerful attack, and needs some more skill and has a very fun gimmick. Never realized just how good Hammer Robot was... I thought he was more or less like a Hammer/Spike Knight but a machine borg.

Nothing, really. I was just planning on recording the major story fights, or any amusing battle that would come up. I mean, I don't think it's really worth watching most of the run-of-the-mill fights. If you think otherwise, I could keep going with more.
On the other hand, while in no way have I quit this, I'm having a hard time currently not spending my day as mostly playing Resonance of Fate or Another Century's Episode: R.

Hmm, is it still not too late to suggest a pair of borgs? Ah well, might as well. It's still 2013 over at my place, so...
Killer Girl/Proto King
I haven't actually played around with either of the above borgs, and I don't even have Proto King yet. All I know is that they're both Low Tier on that Gfaqs tier list.

Well, aren't the battles with Sho/Yuji and Orochi/Tama big? After the Dark Knight, nothing in the main story is actually "challenging", if that's what you're referring to.

Killer Girl/Proto King I haven't actually played around with either of the above borgs, and I don't even have Proto King yet. All I know is that they're both Low Tier on that Gfaqs tier list. The thing you have to keep in mind about the tier list is that it was designed to compare borgs that would be considered seriously if Gotcha were competitive. So they may be low tier, but the fact that they made it onto the tier list means they're better than half or more of the cast. Killer Girl isn't bad per se, but she's outperformed by a borg that already exists. She's pretty similar to Command Girl, but for her cost you could almost fit two Command Girls, each with more HP at lvl 1 than a Killer Girl at lvl 10. Proto King is pretty decent. Most of the top borgs have something that makes them stand out like low cost, a strong/fast attack, good mobility/speed, or some useful gimmick, but Proto King doesn't have anything like that. He's just... above average.

Sho and Yuji is a considerably interestingly challenging matchup. I really could have done with recording those. Oh well... But anything with Tama is just tedious really. Kinda goes down to trying to get rid of everything quickly while getting potshotted, then just dancing around the fortress for a minute or two 'till it's jalopy.
Anyway, it's not too late for new borgs, though there's actually a topic by Metal here about that. But like Njay said, the tier list is very relative. Proto King is good and can power through a lot of missions in the main game.

Time to get back to this. And because Steve said so, the videos return. I'll probably just record the entire thing and then make the videos compilation-highlights of each session, and full matches wherever fit. I think it'd be better.
That one special unit with nukes perched up high, and then the Ultimate Cannon unit. Mostly just having fun with Teleport NinjaCopy Man at first (Swtiching Ninja!), and I hit tons of table/chair legs with the copy attack after the first copy weared off. That takes some real skill. I end up getting screwed over a few times by the stage's gimmicks. Still was a cakewalk.
Well, the emulator has this thing called custom shaders. I used them for a while here! While this bloom shader makes the game really blurry and dark around the edges, it also adds a very nice effect that feels next-gen-y...
And, the second fight took me so long that that's all I played. A very long loop of retrying against the Ultimate Cannons. Some funny stuff happened, at least. Sword Knight had some crazy block-chaining moments, Tar Diver arrow wired up every time, Copy Man sometimes got to put up a fight by copying the cannons, and Spike Knight was rather pointless. There's probably like over a hundred deaths not in the video... And I dodged an ultiamte beam cannon as a roach. After more than half an hour I somehow managed to scrape out the win.

The shield failing at around 4:14 was very unfortunate D:
Also, I like the strategic aspect of the way you play (planning during the Dark Knight, each borg having a purpose in their fight, etc.)! Also, there's been a couple Friendship Runs going on and I'm not quite sure what the run is. Is it basically people suggesting 2 borgs for you to use and you can't use 2 borgs suggested from by the same user at a time (I assume this because the bolding of one borg and not the other and that your Teleport Ninja is replaced by Copy Man)?

Also, Chaos, we established sort of a loose amendment to the rules that it's acceptable to trade out a chosen borg for the other choice, once or twice, but not switch back. In my case, I was breezing through everything with Teleport Ninja, so I decided to switch out for Copy Man to make things a little more fun and interesting.
The Dragon's Den!
It wasn't easy... I thought it would be. Took a lot of tries. In the end, I put together a little bit of a strategic force. Carrier Helicopter is probably the most important here, he easily disposes of the small dragons. Arguably, he could solo the stage, if you're good enough at staying aware from all sides. Kinda easy to mess up though, but he still takes out most of the enemy force here. Wire Girl is also really good at dealing with multiple dragons, so I used her to mop up Carrier Helicopter's job.
I left the last small dragon alive to avoid spawning the other two large ones. At this point, Wire Girl and the following Sword Knight were kinda filler. They were supposed to take out the large fire dragon and get the last hit in on the small dragon. Unfortunately, while Wire Girl did her half, I failed pretty bad with Sword Knight. Hammer Robot was meant to damage race with his huge power once the final two giant dragons pop out, and take at least one out, but here I had to use him earlier than I hoped. He hit both huge dragons once and died. GG.
But somehow, Copy Man pulled off a huge fluke of a win. He was originally meant to finish off the last dragon, maybe mop up the second to last first... But he took on both of the last two completely on his own. After I failed pretty badly with breath attacks. And... The dragons seemed unable to aim at me (ice breath to my side when I wasn't even moving) and spent most of their time doing nothing, while I got in 4 breath attacks standing still.
Oh well, I won't complain.

I don't know why but watching you use Carrier Heli is just so satisfying. I really need to pick him up the next time I get Gotcha on my hands, as he really seems like an invested gem that was overlooked.
Also, now that you have some experience with the team, do you think these borgs live up to their cost? Do you possibly see yourself using them more in the future now that you have spent some time using them?
