Warning: The following update will contain swearing. Expect that a lot from Luna. Oh fudge I gave it away!
Are you kidding? I can't talk to my friends, I don't know what's going on, I don't know who you are, and I can't find Trinity! You seriously think that I would find this world peaceful?
Sol smiled weakly, and closed her eyes.
I'm not all that surprised but... well, I hope sometime you may come to understand. Now, I- Ahh!
Trinity yelped as if she had just been bitten, and hid under her cloak. As the moon rose high in the sky, I saw an odd transformation take place. Her hair changed colour, and red lightning began enveloping her body. It looked painful as she writhed on the ground, I wanted to help but I didn't want to touch her for fear of being hurt. The sudden energy spike subsided as she rose again from the ground.
*Yaaaaaaaaaawn* It's a good thing I was asleep, or I would be bored out of my fuckin mind right now!
... Sol? The girl before me seemed completely different. And... was that the uniform Trinity wears at school? It's hard to tell considering it's the standard girl's dress where I go to.
You must be Cipher, correct? Blagh, I suppose you could be worse... alright then, let me show you around. This, and I hope you'll agree with me here, is the much better world. I don't BELIEVE Sol had the AUDACITY to begin the plan without consulting me first! Talk about a low blow!
I must apologize, but I have no idea what you are talking about. You are still Sol, correct.
'Sol' glared at me as if I had just used the worst possible insult on me, and began pacing up and down the road, before finally deciding to scream in anger and punch the nearby brick wall, causing part of the structure to collapse inward.
That self-righteous bitch! Did she SERIOUSLY think she could get away without telling you ANYTHING? Expecting me to play along, or worse, explain every mind numbing detail myself? Don't tell me, don't tell me... did she pull the cute amnesiac girl routine? Did she cry? The look in your eyes tell me she cried she fuckin cried didn't she! Talk about crocodile tears! That...
She degenerated into a torrent of insults which I don't care to repeat, so I began wondering why, oh why this was happening, let alone what.
That's enough. If you have something to tell me, please tell me.
Well at least you seem to have some balls. I like balls-
She realized her mistake and immediately kicked me right where the sun doesn't shine. I felt my entire body convulse as I fell to the floor in such agony that I could barely move.
I hope we've come to an agreement here. I don't like dirty jokes. Now get up, and listen up.
She pulled me to my feet, and I recovered by leaning against the wall as she began talking.
Ok first things first, this is Trinity's body. SHUT UP! Good, no questions or we'll be here all night SO... yeah this is her body. Me and the woman I loathe to refer to as a sister are temporarily using the most compatible vessel closest to you to show you our opposed visions of what we want of reality. Why? And why you? I SAID SHUT UP AND LET ME FINISH!
Incidentally, I was listening patiently every time she told me to shut up.
I am the representative of the moon, Luna, and you just met the representative of the sun, Sol. I really cannot be bothered to explain how it all works maybe you'll pick it up but we decided that this world sucks ass, so we decided to remake it with our magic. Despite our oh-so-mighty infinite wisdom, we realized that forcing upon change would be a dick move on our part. So we decided to let humanity decide. But humanity as a whole is even worse! Look at them, I'm surprised we even classify some as sentient beings! So our magic will only allow the not-brain dead of you dullards decide the fate of the universe. And you are... actually just a random dude among the remaining to be, how you say, the most influential of the dullards. Agh! That is that no questions we've already wasted enough precious moonlight! You've already seen Sol's crap vision so let me show you what changed here.
I still had a million questions to ask and demands to make, but Luna had already dragged me away, and up a short hill which overlooked the city. All the plants looked weirdly overgrown, and I could see the flicker of lights down below.
Hey, are the people moving down there?
Yes they're moving down there! Come on, let me show you.
Luna began running down the hill, leaving me and my poor stamina to keep up with her. We slowed down as we reached the square, where some people were already wondering around.
I'm glad they're back. So your telling me you did this?
Yep. But that's not the best part, watch.
The people spotted us, then their eyes began to slowly fill with murderous intent.
Are they ok?
Luna smiled maniacally.
Oh, they're not. Some of the others elsewhere will be fine though. Some of the humans have become mindless monsters who we can slay for our enjoyment. The rest, depending on their will, have either had their morals removed, but still a far cry from monsters, or will remain as they were. But these guys? They're just plague ridden vermin! Pick up a bat and beat them 'till they're more blood then flesh, that's my idea!
Indeed, as she had just promised, she grabbed a baseball bat that one of the humans was holding, and began beating the rest of them to death. I was absolutely stunned by the display, but she couldn't keep the attention of all of them. Some of them coming towards me. This wasn't like a zombie movie where they were only barely human- these were normal, their eyes were filled with hate, but it looked natural, as if their inhibitions had been replaced by rage. One threw a punch, which I just barely dodged. I wasn't used to combat, and the people weren't giving me any leeway, so I decided to run away. Back the way we came, however, some others were coming out of their houses, boxing me in. Luna ran up to me, her body covered in blood and smiling like a child on a sugar rush, still eating cotton candy.
Do you know how boring it was up there! Even though I could watch you people, all I could ever see were people moping- even in the war areas, and the people where you live? Nothing! This world is stagnant! It needs chaos! I consider the world as it was but a day ago to be an age without dreams. For every talent there was a spare, for every life you wanted to live, someone had already lived it. It was a world of infinite possibilities that all sucked ass. But you, you glorious bastard, have a chance to change all that! Thin out this retarded population, bathe in their blood! Who needs dreams when you're focused on surviving? And if you need a dream even still, dream to rule this world! I'd help! Or, you know, you could die. Lord knows dying would be better than Sol's alternative.
What was she doing, talking about all this crap whilst enemies were at our heals? They were relentless, one even pushed me hard to the ground, but Luna kept on fighting like some kind of sadistic superhuman. She killed the one's who were directly around us, and held out her dirtied hand, dripping crimson, her red eyes glowing like death in the moonlight. I was beginning to realize why Sol asked me if I thought her world was peaceful as I saw the pure chaos that lay in Luna's eyes, the girl who had told me everything, but had only raised more questions- the girl who asked me another simple question.
I can show you more, you know. This is only the appetizer to chaos. Regardless of your decision, you can't survive this night without me. So come on, take my hand, and allow me to share this most unholy of carnage.
You're insane.
I see insanity only in hypocrisy. In someone who would claim to be performing righteous deeds in the name of justice, only to turn on the world when it becomes convenient for them. Take away people's right to a soul, sap the energy right from them make them disappear, or drive them to suicide. Those were the people who ran the old world, and Sol wants the world to have those laws written into its nature. I'm not going to bullshit you. I'm not going to construct an elaborate scheme for you to figure out, a huge, epic, pointless mystery story. This is me. This is chaos, pure, raw chaos. Take my hand, and let's survive.
