Are there any others on here who think Post Count should be abolished. It gives people an excuse to spam (Also it gives people an excuse to keep coming) but i personally feel that theres always this competition to see who can have the most posts. Also i've never seen a forum that has no post count. It could be good.
No one agrees with me right?

I quite like post count.
But I much prefer the kudos system on ONM...

I quite like post count. But I much prefer the kudos system on ONM... WHAT! No way that system sucks. Thats the whole reason why i left. Also someone stole my original name and the site seemed to just focused on the most popular people. And they'd just take the piss...

Abolish it completely might be a little too extreme, however I for one harbor more respect for long-term members than high-count posters.
A member that's been registered for, let's say, three years and have 247 posts is a more respectable member than one that's been around for three months and has 8888 posts, in my eyes.
The Karma system at GameFAQs is a great system in my opinion. You rise in rank simply for being active, not actually posting.
