So recently I've been using Flame Dragon and the "best way" to play is short hop dragon breath if I'm not mistaken. However, I've noticed that sometimes the flame breath will only get 1 or 2 hits on a borg or even not at all. Even when I sweep left and right, I'm not getting the hits I should be. I've only seen it happen when I short hop and not on a grounded breath so it leads me to believe that the increased turning speed is somehow to blame, like maybe the smallest twitch on the control stick moves the breath too much and it skips right over them when I sweep. Any experienced dragon users have any advice on what I should be doing differently? It sucks when I'm trying to save the world but my dragon breaths are barely scratching borgs. (Also I got an alt Killer Girl. )

Either start with B-fireball to stun the nearest target and then take to the air, or take to the air immediately in the beginning and commence the breath attack and just align yourself with the lock-on target and the breath will annihilate whatever it is attacking ( excluding fortresses and other dragons), wait a second or two and commence another breath attack just before the breath gauge is recharged ( the attack animation when doing a breath attack can be done even while the gauge is still recharging). Also remember since the fly gauge isn't depleting during a breath attack you can stay up in the air almost indefinitely by only simply tapping the A-button in the 1-2 second interval needed between attacks. The great turning rate a dragon has in the air means pretty much anything won't get away. With experience you can tell when a breathed-on opponent will perish even slightly before their life bar is fully extinguished so you can make a well-timed turn to the next one, and so forth. I've seen several death animations on the ground even though you really only attack one target at the time. You'll be surprised of how fast a Flame Dragon can beat a stage full of opponents. A fight that will normally take minutes are usually done in seconds. - Admin

You're doing it from super-long-range, aren't you? Breath attacks have weird problems if you're too far away, something to do with not aiming high enough. Not sure what the problem would be aside from that.

As do dragon breaths, and greds chest laser thing, though only from behind walls on the last one. Come to mention it, gold heros uber lance beam thing does it too, missing in air.

Glad to know that this is a known problem and not just my game glitching up. Am I right in thinking that the dragon breath auto aims the Y axis, or does waggling up and down make a difference as well?
