Looks like I got a sub 3 hour New game time on my practice run/de-rust run that I did lol. Once I get my 2:50 time I'll probably start to optimize some of the levels.

Oh god. I am dying. Running this game is extremely tiring. I haven't done a run in months, but the most recent one I did was a 2:51:XX somehow my time just gets better even though I take month long breaks from this game. I'll try posting the VOD ASAP.

Hello everybody! I haven't been here in a while. This is a semi-update on the current state of Gotcha Force's speedrun. If you haven't known already the current world record for the game set by me (2:51) has been broken a few months ago by a Japanese player by the name of Jaburo (2:47). Here's the video of it. As you can see, this guy was able to beat my WR without the use of Mutant borgs which completely flabbergasted me. But considering I've only done at most 5-ish runs of the game in total, its not really that surprising. Looks like I need to practice to beat this one, but I am just so lazy to actually do runs  Just saying, snagging this WR is absolutely free for anyone who is decent at the game, so if you are interested in doing runs you can send me a friend request on discord at PokeSpecial#1891 and I can help you out! Or you can just send me a FR just to talk Gotcha Force i dunno. I don't really care that much |

This guy is a joy to watch. They play in an optimized way that is very fun to watch.
That's awesome that someone managed to beat your time without mutant borgs! Imagine how far this game could go with them...

Depends on the game, but most games don't allow emulators so long as the normal game is still usable due to the emulator's far superior load times. |

huh... looks like the speedrun got a whole lot faster
current time is 2:18:34 real time and 2:17:00 in game time. Its pretty insane. There's now strats to defeat some of the hp sponge bosses using metal hero and it now uses death icbm for certain fights such as the hero showdowns. Because of this, the run is more determined by rng factors since only certain borgs can be used in the 20th force glitch without crashing the game. Haven't seen the entire thing yet, but I think even more time can be shaved off but probably not enough for this to be a sub 2 hour run. Still this is a considerable improvement over the last WR that's for sure which was 2:27:00. Its crazy to think that the WR for a long while was almost an entire hour behind what it is now. |
