I have gotten shadow ICBMs by doing absolutely nothing in battle, so I don't think scores has any huge impact on obtaining Borgs. Maybe adding another ½ percent to the chance.
Using Sirius and/or Flame Dragon to dominate the battles (and thus getting a massive score) makes not a whole a lot difference IMO. Getting regular Borgs, absolutely, but rare ones not so much it's totally noticeable.
I'm more for the theory that using low-ranking, low overall cost Borgs to win a fight nets you higher chances, but I have this big tendency to always use bigger Borgs anyway so I haven't tested that theory enough.

So... beamgunner73, are you still pulling data solely from the mission The Death Commander Orochi Appears?
Because that match caps at 31k points possible.
Try a longer match with more borgs to beat up. There are matches where you can get your score into 60k.
If score matters for getting rarer borgs try going into a match where you can get tons of points so there is more variation between your numbers in your data.

So why do I literally only get about 5% of rare Death Borgs I find and 95% of other rare Borgs?

I would assume that it is because the death borgs are obscenely low in rarity. As in the D-A rating thing. Meaning you have to do utterly terrible to obtain them in masse?

Ah. How often do you fight rare ones tho? Im on like play four? (I havent played in awhile) of my current mem card and have only encountered a rare one like maybe once per playthrough tops. Much less obtained one

Much less obtained one Around 3 times in the past 9 days. A few hundred of them before I last took a break from the game. And yet I only have 19 of them... not counting the self-destructors you can get by just massacring thousands of them and getting lucky. |
