Only two borgs in the game have an ability that poisons their enemies.I don't know if poison was a late addition to this game, but poison seems a little underutilized to me. What do you think?

Making it more common would detract from the game imo.
The way Gotcha Force is now, the status effects: quick/slow, barrier, transformations, size buff/debuff, heal, and poison are only given to 1 or 2 borgs and their counterparts, and they're generally support borgs without much in the way of attack power (Barrier Girl being the only exception I can think of). In the "metagame" of Gotcha Force, you have to choose between using an attack-centric borg or using a crappy borg with a unique status effect, in this case poison. Give the status effect to an attacking borg, and now you have no reason to use the support borg. I mean, it would definitely be cool to see poison and other status effects incorporated more and with borgs that do have some attack power of their own, but I think that would upset the balance (lol) in the game as it is now.

^I can agree with that for the most part, but I don't remember it being not obnoxiously hard to make use of it with the worms. Mostly because they're pretty bad at everything. If they were at least a bit more agile, everything would be fine, but instead we have a status effect that can barely be used because anyone with a brain will kill the two Borgs that have it before they get a chance to use it. Because they just die that quickly.

Because they just die that quickly. They are disgustingly brittle I have a silhouette version and the thing still dies in a few hits.
