Just my opinion, but I never liked any of the branch off series. Ofcourse, I don't like mega man in general because it reuses the EXACT same thing over and over, just slightly different. A lot of the levels seem almost exactly alike too (unlike something like say, NSMB series(albeit they're cash in sequels with little innovation too. But NSMB2 had a nice gimmick, NSMBwii added the all important spin, and NSMBWii...didn't add much except being able to play on the gamepad.) Actually, regarding Mega Man doing the same thing over and over, 2 was completely different from 1, 3 added sliding and Rush, 4 added the charge shot, 5 added Beat, 6 changed Rush's functionality into merging with Mega Man instead of just popping up and doing whatever, 7 and 8 were on different consoles, and 9 and 10 weren't meant to be innovative in the first place. So if you count minor mechanics like spinning as innovation, the Mega Man games (in the original series, if nowhere else) have just as much, if not more. ...Well, except for 5, I guess, since Beat isn't even a thing until near the end of the game. And may or may not have actually originated in 4. But the rest of them have substantial additions to the game's mechanics. im prettt sure the charge was added in 3. Or was that the slide? Idr honestly. XD the x series added zero who plays differently then added axl who imo is a very stupid addition. Hes x with a glide ability. Lamesauce. Also dilly hes on elysium not the moon. Also want legends three super bad. And not for it to be on the ds with some other lamesauce character they invented. That whole storyline was stupid.

A lot of the levels seem almost exactly alike too RRRRRGH!!!The core gameplay is the same is unchanged at its core because why fix what isn't broken. Don't get me wrong, they attempt to refine it further with each game. But enemies and terrain being completely different from game to game means that it is a different game each time. The only things that stayed constant were the graphics (for 1-6) because they were all on the NES, and that you jump, shoot, move right to progress through a level, and that you beat a boss to get their powers. But take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I am a pretty rabid Megaman fan.

Since dillybar revived this somewhat old comment that I never saw... I'd just like to say:
I don't like Pokemon in general because it reuses the EXACT same thing over and over, just slightly different. A lot of the areas seem almost exactly alike too.
I really don't think it's fair to dislike Mega Man for that reason, when you're always playing Pokemon games which don't have much of a different pattern, either. The upcoming Pokemon is the biggest change since like, the GBC days. And even that could just be a graphical overhaul with the same gameplay, for all we know.
I'm not saying it's bad, and of course each Pokemon game has its share of additions and changes to make it a new game, but so does Mega Man. The gameplay and graphics are mostly the same, but the level layouts and enemies are all different, as well as new bosses, weapons, gimmicks, and (as minimal as it is) story.

Mega Man Legends 3. Or maybe another Mega Man X game. Or heck, just any Mega Man game, Capcom! I wouldn't mind seeing a Fallout 4 as well. Don't bother asking for either of those. Because Capcom is stupid. (Isn't that partly why we're all here on this site?) And because Bethesda will keep making sequels for ever and ever just like any big companies, ie they're not stupid, so Fallout 4 is a sequel that goes without saying. Speaking of Capcom, Definitely a Ghost Trick sequel.

Speaking of Capcom, Definitely a Ghost Trick sequel. Man, I have yet to still play Ghost Trick, I heard it is really good. Oh I know, I also want to see a Persona 5 (yes, I know it's most likely going to be made but I still want to see it). Also another Fortune Street would be cool.

Also another Fortune Street would be cool. Do you want to see this turn into a franchise akin to Mario Party?

Also another Fortune Street would be cool. Do you want to see this turn into a franchise akin to Mario Party? Well it pretty much already is in Japan. Fortune Street was just the latest in a long line of games in Japan and only the newest of them was released outside Japan, so yes, if they happen to make more in Japan I would like to see them brought over.

I think Catherine became my all time favorite game that isn't part of a franchise.
But yes I would like a Catherine sequel. Actually, not quite, as a direct continuation using the same cast wouldn't work for a myriad of reasons. But I would like another game with similar themes and gameplay, just updated. Perhaps with a wider spectrum of options, more block types, more levels and maybe even a level creator. I would also not mind if the next Catherine was the same game but from the female perspective, and the troubles they face in relationships. Or better yet, a remake of the original game where you can choose between a male or female protagonist, like in P3P, with the male protagonist basically just being Vincent, but possibly with more endings (if that would even be possible.) But yeah more Catherine. The only reason I wouldn't want Catherine to turn into another Atlus franchise (or even just another extension of the Shin megami tensei brand, which would be totally possible given the connections to gods and monsters that are the manifestation of fear and whatever) is because then I wouldn't be able to call Catherine my favorite game that isn't part of a franchise.
On an unrelated note, maybe my profile picture needs a change... but Komaeda's smile is just so damn appealing...

Nah, keep it.
Also...A paper mario rpg sequel (TRUE one) that doesn't SUCK. Is that so much to ask, intelligent systems?
That aside, I'd love a sequel to the Etrian Odyssey series. It was an interesting RPG with mind-boggling difficulty. It's by Atlus, so I'd expect that.

I thought Etrian Odyssey had 4 games? Sorry for not placing "plural" versions of the words later in that statement, but note I did say "series."
