(Not in team order) Blue Striker - 200 Cyber Girl Hyper - 620 Flying Saucer - 600 Neo G Red - 500 Death Borg Sigma II - 180 Roach - 30 Roach - 30 Roach - 30
Cost: 2190
I can solo the game with Blue Striker, Cyber Girl Hyper, or Flying Saucer. Seriously, they're amazing. Neo G Red is too good to go without. Sigma is the best fit for the space I had left. Roaches because it's better to use those points for something, so why not.

Seriously, they're amazing. Neo G Red is too good to go without. Sigma is the best fit for the space I had left. Roaches because it's better to use those points for something, so why not. This would be a much better use of those filler points. Anyway, looking at this more, I think the ideal special mode team is: Flame Dragon - 1500 Neo G Red - 500 Death Borg Sigma - 180 Total: 2180 What are, in my opinion, the three best borgs in the game. Alternate versions are: Flame Dragon - 1500 Cyber Ninja - 640 Total: 2140 Cyber Ninja - 640 Garuda - 750 DB Sigma (or Delta II) - 100 Neo G Red - 500 DB Sigma II - 180 Total - 2170 Flame Dragon should wipe the floor with any CPU force if you stick to the rising dragon mechanic, but if you happen to die, Neo and Sigma II can wipe the floor with anything left. Cyber Ninja will get the job done just as well as them, but if you lost to Ultimate Cannons or something, having two borgs is more likely to save your life. The third force is if you don't know how to use a dragon (i.e you keep your feet on the ground and just fire) or if you find them boring. Just replacing the dragon with another Sigma, a Cyber Ninja, and Garuda, and everyone knows why they're so good. You can also opt to use Gold Hero + G Red instead of another Sigma and Cyber, or some other really good borg under 770 like Beam Gunner.

There is certainly a most optimal team, at least.

I still think playstyle comes into it a lot.

You're right. With play style differences, individual preferences, human error, and that the best borgs are still balanced enough to get beaten (especially against each other) there really isn't a right answer. There is no objective team (which is good, cuz this game would be boring if there was). But that's what makes it fun to think about. We can each develop our own team that's the closest that we feel we can get to a "right answer" and compare notes. I'd never put a dragon on my team. They're sweet, but I'm not good with the dragon jump technique (or whatever the aerial dragon play style is called), but knowing that there's merit to it I'm compelled to explore the Dragon Borgs more. And hopefully my post will get people looking at borgs like Cyber Girl Hyper a little closer. And it's fun to see excellent teams that manage to fit a Billy or a Sword Knight in.

I still think playstyle comes into it a lot. Unfortunately in Gotcha Force, the only really reliable playstyle is range spam.
