These look great! This is how I want graphics in future consoles, using the same level assest from the GC era (so that it doesn't take as long to make everything, resulting in cheaper games and saving budgets for other things like gameplay content and music), while using the power of the new consoles to just make the old stuff look good. After looking at some screens of Dolphin emulated games (like Okami, that thing looks AMAZING on Dolphin. Better than the "HD" remake coming out for PS3 lol), that's what I think is the most productive way to do graphics. Keeping costs down for games that don't need super duper realistic graphics, and saving for other cool stuff. I mean...is that a viable way to do ports of old games? Can you just take the old game, put it in an emulator like Dolphin, and tah-dah, beautiful game with no added effort? Can you add realistic lighting and shadows that way too? I have no idea how this thing works lol, but it's just something I hope developers tap into. <_<....sorry for the long speech, i got excited. Could you do a Ring Valkryie  ? I've asked you before, but that one didn't have a texture and lighting like these ;D good stuff smithy! |
