And the winner of the first official Gotcha Borg Championship is.... Barrier GirlGFF 7:7 Gfaqs 4:4 Total 11:11 by tie break! Completely hard choice to make, as Barrier Girl is probably my most played with borg EXP wise, and Eagle Robot has one of my most favorite borg designs in the game, but I haven't played with him enough to trump the playtime and reliability that Barrier Girl has had through the years. It was tough, and I'm not 100% behind my choice, but relevance to my playtime wins out on this one. ConGRRAAAAAATULATIONS! Thanks for participating in my little tournament! It was fun, and I hope you enjoyed it -herpanda

Maybe you could do theme tournaments, like "fastest borg," "best melee borg" or "best ranged borg." We could deliberately exclude certain Borgs this way and get some unconventional nominations.

Ugh... As one could guess by the fact that I voted against Barrier Girl every time, I find this result disappointing. But whatever, this has been fun. It should be done again. With refinements where needed, not that I know where that is, taken to a larger scale if we all can agree on taking it up a notch in that manner, etc. Maybe you could do theme tournaments, like "fastest borg," "best melee borg" or "best ranged borg." We could deliberately exclude certain Borgs this way and get some unconventional nominations. The thing about that is, one might say a lot of the fun of this one came from the fact that there was no specific criterion one had to base their votes on, so it basically turns into whatever the individual wants it to be. Actual fighting tournament, popularity contest, whatever. We voted based on what we wanted to base our votes on. Making a theme tournament eliminates that aspect.

Many winners I would've preferred, but I'm still satisfied.

I'd like a "Awesomest Death Borg Championship". You might have to exclude Sigma and Sigma 2 though, but you never know, they might actually get knocked out round 1 like Cyber Ninja, NGR, and GB were just now. To everyone: If I do do an "official" championship again, it'll be next year I wouldn't mind voting in little other tourneys though (like the coolest fast borg, or death borg only, gun borgs only, etc.), and those could be pretty fun and get you guys more interested in borgs you never use and stuff. I won't personally host those though, it'll be time consuming lol, but I'm all for it if someone else is willing to manage the other tournaments.

My favorite death borgs are actually Delta II and Omicron.

So Barrier Girl is the most popular Borg on GFF now? Lol no. Once again, herpanda said: vote for WHOEVER YOU WANT. for ANY reason. This was not a 1v1 fight poll, nor was it a popularity poll. I swear, it seems like you're being so shallow about this...

I swear, it seems like you're being so shallow about this... To be fair, though, most of us seemed to vote by our preferences, making it quite a bit like a popularity poll. But no, she's not necessarily the most popular Borg here, she's just the most popular of those 16. And even that isn't necessarily true.

A lot of borgs probably would have been added into the running if we'd all remembered they existed, like Shuriken Ninja, Switching Ninja and Ring Valkyrie. No Mars/Atlas, no Red/Blue, no Ruby/Sapphire Knight, etc. Oh, and no Imperial/Dark Knight unless I'm not remembering right.
Gotcha Force has too many kewl borgs.

I think he's referring to the Other teleport ninja that has a really cool character design, but I personally say he lacks in the combat field mostly because he's too technical. Excellent idea behind him though When compared to the Teleport ninja that is.. I had my fair share of Teleport ninja to the point I was able to teleport out of anything, probably my second favorite borg ^,^

sorry Eagle Robot i was not on the site of the final otherwise you would have won.
i would have voted for him since one on one he would win since of the small HP that girl borg gets. as much a the shield would compensate for part of it she would not beat him.
il be looking up before i go bed.

I know who he is. I'm asking why. Oh my mistake :S It looked vague.. Lol @ Frozn Yes he actually worked in combat... but he took too much thinking, I'd use him when I was feeling like using indirect borgs... -like Tao ,Arrow ninja, and Switch-
