So, basically, I was doing a nuslocke run on pokemon pearl the other day, and it got me thinking, why couldn't we do the same thing for Gotcha Force?

So, here are the rules;

- You must start a new game, or move all of your borgs into the warehouse, and only have the level 1 G-Red that you usually start with.

- As you do your run-through, you must only 1 borg from each battle you obtain borgs from. You must delete the others. So, for example, say you received a wire girl and battle girl from a battle, you must decide which you keep, and delete the other one.

And the final, most important rule;

- If you let one of your borgs fall in battle, it is considered dead, and you must delete it. So, if you lose to Kakeru, in the second battle of the game, you must start the challenge from the beginning.



So, thats it. Anyone feel man enough to take this on?

What about Data Crystals?

well, do you mean do you have to choose between a crystal or a borg? because i dont think you would have to. crystals dont do anything. But i think when you get a borg from a crystal it is a "spoil of the match" and so you have to choose between it or one of the other ones you got.

also, im doing the challange, and its not too hard. only thing i changed was that when i lose with a borg i just chuck it into the warehouse and not delete it. i dont go in there anyway.

I find it pretty fun to be honest... sorta makes you care more about borgs take hits.

Anyone ever tried taking on Play 8 G.E. using only a Death Eye?

No, that sounds like suicide.

As for this challenge, I tried it, but whenever I start using a borg that I care about (i.e. not the fodder I filled the beginning of my team up with) I will usually devolve to spam/stall tactics.
For example, when G-red comes out, I find some cover and just sit behind it and spam my beam cannon.

It seems like, despite pokemon being turn based, it is harder to keep things alive in Gotcha Force since there is no switching. I have to have Usagi as my ally just so when an air borg spawn in and I am stuck with my Sonic Samurai, I don't have to either kill it off and go for the gunner next in my party, or waste 10 minutes of my life trying to hit the little bugger.

Anyone who could succeed though (in an non-cheated way) would without a doubt be crowned King or Queen of Gotcha.

Since I didn't know this topic existed, I posted a challenge in the "Your Current Mission" topic. Now I will state it here, since this is where it should have been to begin with.

Beat the game using only dragons.

Also, I might as well post some other ones I've thought of/done/tried to do.

• Beat the game (For future reference, anytime I say "beat the game" I mean "beat Play 8.") with Air Borgs.
  
• Beat Play 8 (While I'm thinking to type Play 8, I might as well just type Play 8.) with Death Borgs. (Already mentioned?)
  
• Beat Play 8 with Tank Borgs.
  
• Beat Play 8 with Hero Borgs.
  
• Beat Play 8 with the large Machine Borgs (Titan/Panther/Eagle robot, Machine Red/Blue, Cyber Mars/Atlas, Victory Duke/Baron/King, and their Proto equivalents, but not their vehicular equivalents) (Already mentioned.)
  
• Beat Play 8 with Ninjas.
  
• Beat Play 8 with Fortress Borgs.
  
• Beat Play 8 with Support Type borgs. (Also already mentioned?)
  
• Beat Play 8 with borgs capable of transforming. (Just thought of that one)
  

And, for the particularly insane of you...

• Beat Play 8 with Demon Borgs.
  
• Beat Play 8 with Bug Borgs.
  
• Beat Play 8 with Idol Borgs.
  

And, since it would be too easy to just send out an armada or army of your best Borgs for these challenges, you can only use one of each Borg.
Also, you must choose to not have a partner whenever the choice is given to you, except in the case of the Support Type borgs, since I wouldn't do it without partners, and I can't really expect more from others than I do from myself. Which is why I don't expect anyone to try the last three.
And there is no level restriction, as long as the borg has a normally reachable level (1-10). Which, technically, is a level restriction...
(Also, just because the Dragons aren't in the actual list doesn't mean the rules don't apply to that one. Those three rules also apply to the Dragons.)
So far, the only one I've done myself is the Air Borgs. I nearly did the Death Borgs, but I couldn't beat the Galactic Emperor. And I just started with the large Machine Borgs.
