R1:Match3: Metal Hero vs. Cyber Ninja

It's Metal Hero vs. Cyber Ninja!

Metal Hero, one of the six Hero borgs in the game, is my personal favorite, so you should vote for him since he's the underdog. Er, I mean, he's worth 380 points! Armed with a Metal Set Up, he can go into awesome mode, and is largely safe from hitstun (Darn your beams, Fortress Borgs! It's so satisfying to beam them down after a well timed special!). One of the melee heavy characters, he's slain many a foe who couldn't keep up with his blade! And when he gets tired of fighting his enemy, he just specials them in the face!

Cyber Ninja, an accumulation of the Ninja Borg Unit. Taking cues from many of the other Ninjas (why couldn't you also have Double Ninja's ability!?), he's easily one of the best borgs in the game. The fastest of 'em all, he air dashes through the fray at lightning speed, dodging blade, bullets, and nukes alike. Few other fighters can stand up to him in battle, or in style! Definitely my 2nd or 3rd favorite borg!

• One Poll battle will be held each day in the "Borg Discussion" section of the forum, in a NEW THREAD each day (so I can utilize the poll feature).
  
• Each poll will be open for 24ish hours, and will lock voting after that. Note, I changed it since the extra 12 hours doesn't really do anything, and we can watch people rise and fall nicer :3
  
• Only the votes from the actual poll will count. The final score will add up both the GameFAQs and Gotcha Force Fan polls together.
  
• I will abstain from voting, UNLESS there is a tie. Then, I will vote for who I would have voted for, and break any ties.

Sure, Metal Hero can barely flinch and can take out a lot of slow moving borgs like Dragons and Fortresses. Cyber Ninja, however, is not one of them.

^ now that, was awesome. though i can't remember a battle with just those two borgs in it.

i can't tell if the main reason is because cyber ninja is so op or spammy or what, but i definitely like metal hero's concept and design. his beam sword reminds me of gundam virtue, which slices things in one go. the only other sword that does that is beam samurai's, but it's not nearly as devastating or awe-inspiring.

Cyber Ninja practically destroys the world at long range but doesn't work too well at melee range.
Metal Hero can't do much of anything at long range, but can charge in like a badass and tear the opponent to shreds with that beam sword.
Badass > Practical*, ergo Metal Hero.

*Barring extenuating circumstances necessitating optimal combat performance

Unless Cyber Ninja is pro and wants to deliver that extra Ninja kick (like I do all the time), Metal Hero has no chance.

^Yeah lol, I wish Cyber had more approachable melees, more akin to Shuriken Ninja. He'd be even more OP

update: gfaqs has one on metal and none on cyber. They really like Cyber Ninja, so things can change drastically if they're on today. didn't expect Metal to be winning when I woke up this morning.

ok this is tight but cyber ninja would win.

ok most people will bang on about the power of metal heros sword strike thing but if your target is a fast mover that sword strike will be useless. so it means than the cyber ninja would have the advantage. with the power of the melee and the tracking shots so metal hero might have problems. the only chance metal hero has is to get close a hit with the sword cause the range shot will struggle to get a hit.

overall cyber ninja should win.
