How does Karma work? I've never really understood it? First and foremost, it should be related to posts, not against the person. If someone makes a good and contributing post, he/she might deserve to be given Karma ( Exalt) or if someone makes a big off-topic post or only spams with intentional bad contents, one has right to lower Karma ( Smite). In this sense, Karma should in theory show respectable members from the joker. In this small place though, seeing as every single member is a good student, this has little meaning, since all deserve to mentioned as respectable ones.

The question that still remains is "why do you only have 1 karma?"

^ If that would be the case, I could simply turn the Karma system down.

Another question...
What if someone has 0 Karma and then someone Smites them? Will it go -1?

Thats quite good. People could try and get as much bad Karma as possible and then they can be seen as the forum devil.

New ranking names in case of confusion: 1000+ posts - Legendary S-Rank Borg (7 stars) 0 500+ posts - A-Rank Borg (5 stars) 0 250+ posts - B-Rank Borg (4 stars) 00 50+ posts - C-Rank Borg (3 stars) 00 25+ posts - D-Rank Borg (2 stars) 00 10+ posts - Identified Data Crystal (1 star) 0000+ posts - Unknown Data Crystal (0 stars) The required number of posts for 4 stars seems a bit high in my opinioin. You would have to get five times the number of posts it requires to get 3 stars in order to get 4 stars.

As you can see, I've divided the stars into two main groups, the first three are gotten relatively fast, while the last three requires both time and dedication around the forum to be acquired. 4+ stars proves how much you really love GFF.

You're too hasty to post, something you've shown to be all too often.

You're too hasty to post, something you've shown to be all too often. Wrong. I just look at posts either aimed at me or i look at the last post someone did. I always look back which is why i noticed and i could easily change my post before anyone see's...

Seeing as GFF has grown considerably lately, I have decided to re-introduce the original Custom Ranks requirement, and that is you will need 1000 posts to request a Custom Rank with your name in a custom color. A Custom Title, however, can be requested at any time by any member, regardless of post count.

^ Maybe in the future I'll make 1000 posts the 6-star rank and an even higher rank with 7 stars.
