^ Saya. I was actually looking at the low quality loketest vids and I could swear I saw a sprite for her on the bottom screen for about two seconds before an advert for a game I'd never heard of started playing. Then again, said sprite could easily be part of that game. Anyway I hope Izayoi (because she's possessed by Izayoi, so I shall now refer to alternate tsubaki as such) is a vast improvement on regular tsubaki, but more importantly vastly difficult. As for unoriginality... uhh... well, she doesn't look generic, but she does have a murakumo vibe. EDIT: Yes, her name is now indeed Izayoi as you can see here. www.famitsu.com/news/201211/15024349.htmlOn topic: Elizabeth

On topic: Yosuke. You may have found out by now, but it's a separate character. The original Tsubaki is still in the game, and she does wear a darker outfit. Still, the new outfit is cool, I just think it's too 'typical' with the rest of the game as compared to her original style. But she's possessed or whatever, oh well. I wonder if they're gonna keep introducing more characters... Doesn't count. Just make a damn BlazBlue thread already if you haven't.

Your last two posts have been off-topic. Your post is invalid. Oh well, discussion over... I'll just wait 'till something else comes up with Blazblue to make a new topic, so Steve won't be salty.

Mitsuru? I think people over rate her. I'm not sure how the tier lists have developed but aren't there more higher tier characters? Correct me if I'm wrong. Judging by the events I went to, Elizabeth seems to be the most played character even though she's not top tier.

I never saw many Elizabeths online. Many of the few I saw were just cool kids spamming stuff. People like that don't count.
Mitsuru, Aigis, Yu, and Chie are considered the best characters. Mitsuru has ridiculous range, and crazy blockstrings that can easily transition into a grab. Most people are just afraid of the blockstrings, they're actually pretty punishable if you know when to attack, and especially if you have an attack that makes your character go down low, typically most sweeps.
Aigis is just good in general, very nice range and mobility, and large-scale attacks, and her combos hurt a lot. Basically has tons of options for everything and hits like a truck.
Chie has extremely annoying oki. Her Persona has that long-lasting spin attack, and once you get hit and knocked down by Chie, you're going to have to start blocking immediately, even DPs won't break through. She has great mixup and does tons of damage.
Yu is... Mary sue, just like the anime Some people consider him the best character. He has Mitsuru's range (ridiculously fast low sweep across the stage), a huge beam super, oki rivaling Chie's, great range normals, a ridiculous 'dive kick' near-instant overhead that starts his best combos and works to fly out of any situation, basically he has overhead and sweep specials that are so fast you pretty much have to just guess even if he's a few characters away, an footstomp attack to attack directly below, a mid-sized fast projectile, his Persona is really powerful with tons of range, his DP rivals Mitsuru's hitbox and can be used in combos and the first hit of it is air unblockable (?!) and he can combo into a super from it AND he can use a super just to screw you over if you try to punish it after blocking it or it misses, and if being the mary sue good at everything wasn't enough, at low HP he gets access to a super (Cross-slash) that's not any slower or anything but does about half your HP if it hits and is unpunishable. <deep breath deep breath>
Actually, I still don't really mind Yu, or any of the 'top tiers' for that matter. It still felt like a well-balanced fighting game (still skeptical on Kanji, people say he's horrid-tier because he's a grappler but he's even won tournaments). It felt like everyone was a really good character and was 'overpowered' in their own style.
But anyway... Today I sold P4A for Zone of the Enders Collection. Got bored and lost interest with the infinite delay.

That's about $30 I can use to finally get Resonance of Fate or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or some other 3DS game with a little more. I mean... As amazingly well-made P4A was, I don't think it's really worth rebuying with such a small roster and content, at least, not with a list of other games I want that I still haven't played.

The two are total opposites... P4A is a fighting game with only 13 characters and a few maps, and a decently lengthy visual novel (although most of it is the same thing retold from different views). Sure, it was a pretty amazing fighting game, but...
Kid Icarus is a game with virtually infinite content, customization and variation that always keeps the gameplay fresh, and hundreds of hours to be sunk into the game in story and multiplayer for all of the treasure hunts along with just playing for fun with how much there is to do.
I was completely satisfied with P4A at full price, it's just that along with the massive EU delay killing it, the lesser amount of content just doesn't really merit it a rebuy as much as something new or something that would still have more left to be done... At least for me, when buying a game is a chance that doesn't come very often.

Does anyone here still play this? This game has been well worth the wait, and I really want to test my skills against some actual buddies.
Online has been going pretty good for me so far. Elizabeth kicks so much ass. Also did anyone buy the glasses DLC? I have some Microsoft points left over and I can afford the glasses. I'm not interested in the colour pallets as I have favorites already. The one I specifically want to buy includes Elizabeth and Shadow Labrys, among others that I don't care about. Shadow Labrys' look awesome but I want to know if it is worth it for Elizabeth since I can barely see what they look like from screenshots on the internet. Can you also change the colour of the glasses? Thanks.
Oh the story is also infinitely better than what I was expecting. About on par with P3: The answer which was a nice supplementary and the interactions between the P3 and P4 casts is fan service that makes me all giddy inside. People say its the story from different perspectives, but who fights who and the general order changes each time. Kind of suspicious actually. In other words I don't get why people were complaining.

I'm not really sure if I should get the game again... I guess I made my point here earlier. It was a really good game, just sort of lacked content. $27 for it is kinda cheap, but eh, I dunno... I don't think there's really anything else I'd like to buy for a while, so I'll think about it... Anyway, here's a direct rip of Elizabeth with glasses: The color packs aren't really worth it IMO, I believe it was really only 4 real colors. Gold, shadow, sepia, and darker shaded versions of the original colors... With only 4 new original ones. The glasses pack, however, was great I'd say. As you can see, they're moderately noticeable, and there was like... 20ish different glasses colors per character? I certainly was content with it before the whole massive delay killed the game for me. And the color pack I had. If you're willing to dish out for only 4 actual colors, those 4 are actually pretty nice. But yeah, the glasses packs are excellent.

I may pick up the glasses then.
Also I don't mind if you don't rebuy the game.
That said, if you don't there's a huge chance my soul will be forever crushed and I will fall into a pit of despair greater than that of... some really unhappy guy.
So no pressure.
In all seriousness it would be great if you brought it but I may need some more practice, so no rush I guess. You know... not that I expected you to rush or whatever...
These days I go by the title... umm... I can't remember. I changed it recently but for a while it was 'elementary non-existence'.

I picked up the glasses and I love em.
Story mode is really good! Labrys' story made me cry.
Speaking of Labrys, Shadow Labrys is really growing on me and I've been using her a lot recently. I also have the most challegnes complete with S.Labrys, more than Elizabeth even. I've been getting about a 50% win percentage online with 'liz so far, but I may have to seriously consider which one I like more... Luckily, the glasses pack I brought came with S.Labrys glasses too, and I adore that visor, so I'd say that that's money well spent for two potential mains.
