So, i was thinking....I'm a competitive pokemon player, and i love to use the move Fake Out. It basically damages the opponent, and causes them to flinch (i.e. do nothing). It's free damage, at no cost, and 90% of the time it works.
What about Gotcha Force? Are there any borgs which are capable of free damage? By free damage, i mean a move or strategy which can work 90% of the time or better, against the vast majority of borgs, with no negative repercussions.
For example, leading with Command Girl almost always guarantees free damage. Just spam the X button before the battle begins, and you'll be able to fire off your laser right at the start, before the opponent can dodge. It's almost guaranteed damage, and only a very small handful of borgs can avoid the blast (bloody Panther Vehicles).
I suppose in a way Neo's charge B attack also counts, as you can just stand behind something and fire away, but anyone that can air dash left or right can avoid it, so it only works against COM enemies.
Are there any other examples?

yes well i have found that if you hide behind a solid object like the dog kennel in karakuras home and charge G reds B attack the attack passes through them and not many borgs can attack you as well (laser attack can hit you so watch out) and acceration nijnas X attack is good because you move that fast not many things can hit however it is hard to controll and you can charge his attack and then run again thats all i got

1. anyone with A.R.B. can get some free damage in. (eg. cyber girl hyper & proto atlas) 2. if you're partners with a tar diver then you can get some free damage, at the cost of the tar diver. however if the tar diver is decent... 3. GARUDA. he flies too high for anyone to get to him 4. demon wing's creeping soul is homing if you do it right.
well those don't really have the same effect as Fake Out from pokemon, since fake out's priority leaves virtually no room for error (unless opp uses protect/opp is ghost type)
i assume that you mean something that takes little to no skill to use, and works like a charm. i don't think that gotcha has anything like that. usualy all you have to do is air-dash constantly/ground-dash or jump at the start of the battle to avoid absolutely everything. Cyber Ninja is the best example of this.
i'll try to think of something

I guess Chrono Samurai's time stop kind of counts. The only time it doesn't work is against Barrier Girl's barrier, a borg in the invincible state, or if they're hiding in such a way that Chrono Samurai can't reach them in time.
A.R.B. is another really good one. It's almost impossible to dodge 4 lasers from 4 different angles.

Enlarged Planet Hero air melee is pretty much free damage. It's considerably hard to dodge with something other than a machine borg. Hit box is too big man lol, and it's fast...and spammable...
Of course, there's the chance you'll get shot in the face by command girl's buster and the like, but it's still a pretty decent move/spam.

Don't forget Beam Wing Red's Charge B. I think it has a quicker start up than the G Buster too.

Wow...so many cheap strategies i have yet to try...and here i thought just constantly air dashing with Cyber Ninja was as cheap a strategy as you could get. I guess i was wrong. For the record, i was originally thinking more of things like Command Girl, whose X attack is exactly like Fake Out. It's fast, can be fired right at the start of battle, and hits pretty much all the time. I do like the idea with the Tar Diver though. Next time i'm stuck with that pest Yuji, i'll make sure to let his Tar Divers get beat up.

When you said about them flinching, I thought about the Thunder Robots X attack. If you use it on an enemy borg and it hits, most borgs go into a flinched stance where they cannot move or attack but can be attacked. It generally lasts about a second, it's pretty cool though, give it a shot.
Also, if use the X attack on them again while they're in this state it just launches them away from you.

It only does 1 damage per hit though. Yes i've tested it.

Id say death icbm is pretty well free damage. You loose a borg but the enemy can lOose like 5?

if you're looking for an attack like Command Girl's X, then the only ones that come to mind that don't need to charge are Cyber Marz's eye beams (which you can use to juggle your opponent for a little bit. Very annoying if you get hit by it). Can any other machine borg use eye beams like that? I know G Black can to an extent; I remember the charge for that being relatively short.

Can any other machine borg use eye beams like that? Machine Red and, by extension, Proto Red and Proto Mars. Also, Titan Tank has obscenely fast beams, so that might work.

Don't forget Beam Wing Red's Charge B. I think it has a quicker start up than the G Buster too. cyber hero's charge X has the least lag on startup of any beam move in the game i think also Treadshot if you have a human partner then slow valkyrie would be an even better partner to have than tar diver, because the slow spell can literally last forever, and also draws the attention of both opponents towards the slow valkyrie, letting you go after the opponent much more easily on the subject of instant-hit moves like the buster laser, i think that that's the only move in the game that moves across the field instantly, besides the beams of course. also, can someone refresh my memory as to whether or not barrier girl can survive an ICBM? i would think not, right?

I don't think so. ICBM blasts are multi-hit, so the first hit would kill the barrier and the second would kill her.

Definitely not, as Usagi's Barrier Girl got killed by an ICBM blast yesterday. That said, she was standing right next to the freaking tank, but her barrier was up and running just before she died.
I'm not really looking for an attack like Command Girl's, where it moves instantly, rather i'm wondering if there are ways to use attacks that result in damage for essentially nothing. Command Girl only counts because at the start of every fight she'll always get a shot off before her opponents can dodge with basically no risk of damage to herself. G Red's G Buster in itself is not free damage, it's using it behind an obstacle that makes it so overpowered.
And Cyber Hero's charge B does have very little startup, though the damage output just doesn't feel as...satisfying.

Galactic emporer. You have to break the game to get it but it cant die unless you hit the brain. Which is unpossible in most maps he spawns in. You cant control him so idk if its "free" but it is damage with no risk to health.
