Have to agree. Sure he has a ton of HP and power but if your me i just play as a spas borg with a lot of ammo(Gatling Gunner)

Since I'm only on my second playthough my personal force is pretty pathetic.

These are in no exact order.

1. Double Ninja

2. Claw Robot

3. Orange Fighter

4. Revolver Gunman

5. Vampire Knight

6. Gatling Gunner

7. Battle Girl

8. Neo G Red/ G Black

I guess my strategy focuses on a big number of borgs and mostly shooter borgs. The only exceptions are Double Ninja which is how is my most virsitile. Vampire Knightand Neo G Red/G Black are my aces. I really wish I had better borgs like Sirius. ^^''

My teams:

Master Melee:

Samaurai Shogun (and no, i don't spam shogun slash (often), i like his melee better than sonic samaurai's, as he has better tracking. (still hunting a chrono, and i'm one crystal away from getting him. Killing Orochi appears to be the only consistent option)

Flame Ninja (for the sweet melee. If you're having trouble, it helps to get close to the enemy and then just hit the B button once. If it hits, do it again, but don't chain attacks. Most borgs don't need more than two to kill them, and the big borgs you can just juggle around, hit them a few times till they flinch and then hunt them down (proto and machine mostly)

RUBY KNIGHT Awesome long range and can block nearly anything with the shield. Good movement lets him get out of the way from death ICBM and ICBM missles. If a walking bomb grabs you, melee like crazy and pray, or dash forward and hit X at point blank

Planet Hero Usually I fight as a small version, only going big to handle fortresses and Machines. Can easily tear Sho apart single handedly.

Beam Gunner
second gatling gunner or gatling tank, depending on what mode i'm playing and my total energy limit

I usually use firestorm to ruin tama's day, but I also use it for killing dragons, as two full clips of ammo from a gatling tank will completely waste any small dragon. I usually just dance around space and cosmic dragon so that the black hole pulls my bullets toward him, keeping him between me and the black hole is a fun trick

im thinking chainsaw knight and beam samurai.

Melee's I can think of right away are Kung- Fu Master, Shadow Girl, most Knight types (some have extensive long ranged attacks), Cyber-/Metal Hero and Jelly-/Tar Divers.

My current playthrough is dedicated to cool borgs that I don't use often:
Sasuke (Filler!)
Panther Vehicle (it's so refreshing to not dodge everywhere)
Copy Man
Samurai Shogun

My best force is probably:
Flame Ninja
Cyber Ninja
Beam Gunner

and my favourite is most likely my heroes and girls force.

For pure melee, Juggernaut, Chainsaw Knight and Beam Samurai are good, as is Metal Hero

Flame Ninja for epic melee
Samurai Shogun becasue his shogun slash kicks ass, and his melee is pretty dam good too.
G Black for all around power.
Gat Gunner for sheer spazyness
Death Arc/Sirius as backup

I edit my force so I always have D Arc as my last guy depending on my energy limit.

Sword knight (resist the urge to throw the shield unless it's one on one, and sometimes not even then)

sonic samurai is a good choice, he absolutely slaughters machine borgs (samurai shogun has a much better melee than him though... but no one melees with samurai shogun)

chainsaw knight's alright, but there are others who do what he does better. Some borgs you don't want right in your face.

vampire knight... he's what a melee borg should be... An entire team of him can crush just about anything

so yeah... A pure melee team is decent... but it will be crushed by any long range teams unless you use pure knight and learn to use the shield or you're amazing at dodging....

or you use vampire knight

i was actually having trouble hitting with chainsaw knight. the hitbox is a lot more narrow than i thought. i eventually learned to time it, but i thought of the character as more of a beserker.

sword knight worked really well against 1 or 2 enemies. anything more than that and i get too easily surrounded then a machine borg becomes a better choice.

sonic samurai and vampire knight were a lot better than i thought they would be. i only have like 2 vampire knights but like 20 sonic samurai.

i dont have shogun or flame ninja yet so well see about them.

most of my forces have a lot of machine borgs. i think claw robot is crazy good for how cheap and common he is.

Except for my First Endgame Stone River Death Force Unit Force:
Silver Double Ninja
Victory Tank
Titan Tank
Proto Blue

It's the closest thing I have to a force I randomly threw together because I felt like it, in that a force made of three Borgs I suck with and Proto Blue has pretty much no particular strengths and is kind of a force I randomly threw together because I felt like it.

Proto Blue is like Proto Red if Proto Red were fun to use and didn't take literally 50 years to kill Fortresses.
(Proto Red can kill almost anything but can't kill much of anything quickly. Like Gold Hero if Gold Hero had more than one attack that could be used more than once per minute. You don't put Gold Hero in your force to kill everything quickly, you put it there so Eagle Robot out of literally nowhere doesn't kill you in 20 seconds.)
