I was playing, and you know the Defeat the Death Borg Unit! battle in Mana's room?
Well, I saw Death borgs with two floating death eyes, like a Death Borg Alpha spewing out 3 shurikens for its ranged attack, same with Sigma, and Lambda, so I was wondering if it was possible to obtain them, cuz everytime I do the battle, I either get nothing, or I get a sigma or lambda I

Now, my question is are they obtainable?
Ive been trying to get Death borg Beta IIIs since I dont have them, and I figured this would be the easiest battle to get them.
Plus I got a Silver Orange Fighter from the air battle with Tsutomu.
Anyway, Ive been trying to get every single borg.
I even got G Black And GE, but im mainly working on getting Dark Knight, Death Borgs, and Cosmic Dragon, before going for the death dragons.

No, I thought I confused the Alphas, so then I did mean Alpha III.
I have Alpha II already, and I love it

"Alpha III" = Level 10 Alpha II Alpha II, Sigma II, Lambda II, Zeta II, and possibly a couple of other ones get a third floating head at level 10.

Since those are the only borgs that show a visible difference by level, I tried that battle on a few different playthroughs a while back to see if there were any differences in enemy level over the playthroughs. I think around playthrough 4 and up, the level 10 borgs always show up, so we can assume that all other borgs are level 10 as well. Surprising, as I would have expected a level gradient over the playthroughs.

true but gotcha force is easy enough as is. does the computer's strategy change over the course of the plays? i thought that they became increasingly more intelligent over the plays, or at least they used more/better borgs as the plays went on.

Yes, I'm pretty sure they get far more skillful at later playthroughs; I recall doing a fight or two in Play 1 for some reason a while ago and laughing at their pathetic attempts at offense. Oh, wait, they had no offense.

Level 10 Alpha 2 = Alpha 3 Level 10 Zeta 2 = Zeta 2 with extra death eye (since Zeta 3 already exists.) Level 10 Lambda 2 = Lambda 3 Level 10 Sigma 2 = Sigma 3
These are the only borgs this applies to. Death borgs with a Death Eye for a head AND have an additional Death Eye hovering next to them fire an additional shot on projectile attacks. If such a borg reaches level 10, the borg will gain an additional Death Eye, meaning an additional shot.
That. So it doesn't apply to the two other borgs with floating death eyes, Zeta 3 and Zeta 4. I WISH it applied to Zeta 4, a quad laser would be awesome.

On-topic: Yes it would, but unfortunately you'll have to stick with one of the Cyber Girls, an Ultimate Cannon, or Cyber Atlas (or something else I forgot about) if you want a quad laser... not that's necessarily a bad thing.

But Zeta 4 costs less.

^And that's why it could be a bad thing. But they do have more health than Zeta IV, so one could find them better to use. (Of course, I'd prefer to have it on Zeta IV, myself, on account of it being a Death Borg.)
