Since score affects your chances, and losing a borg decreases score, using a big dragon would be more efficient. And tryst me when I say its just as fast.

before the glitch i had 3/4 data crystals and i was not after leopard

Mostly with rare Death Borgs.
Gold Omega and Shadow Sigma II, for example.

Somewhat related, does anyone know of any battles, besides the 5000 GF energy girl and angel borg mission, in which Killer Girl is not in the starting spawn? I really don't feel like fighting that whole mission just for the 2 Killer Girls at the end.

i don't remember if she spawns in the beginning or not, but i do remember a killer girl in the "End of Death Commander Tama" one

but truthfully, the Girl Borg unit is the most efficient one, since Killer Girl shows up there like 6 times. at least that's how i got mine ;D

I'm pretty sure that's the most efficient mission to use, so as much as it sucks you should probably stick with that one.
Alternatively, I don't recall off the top of my head if it was at the start or not, but the battle with Tama at Little Hill where the other Borgs ride on the Death Arc has a Killer Girl.

dabateable. i was trying to get data Crystal A for the death saucer i used vampire knight and did not lose anyone and got B then i turned of the wii and turned it back on and did the fight again lost more Borgs than last time but got data Crystal A for the death saucer
