The form to apply is here, but the terms says it will only ship within Japan. So effectively, none of us can enter. Hopes raised and splattered. Thank you for finding it though, regardless lol.

Calm down people. We have no guarantee that GF2 is gonna happen. Save the hype for when we have substantial proof.

Calm down people. We have no guarantee that GF2 is gonna happen. Save the hype for when we have substantial proof. The very fact that they made the reprint - with a lottery thing to go with it, no less - is pretty substantial, don't you think? Granted, that doesn't mean it'll be leaving Japan, but it's certainly not all that unreasonable to think it's going to be made.

It certainly implies amazing things for the future, but no i don't think it's quite substantial enough for me to think "OH 8888 YEAH GF2!" yet. Once Capcom says something about having a announcement at some show like E3 or TGS about an old game i'll be all super happy and whatnot.
*Is a total downer*

no yurrei is correct we can't go flipping our lids yet. well we can but on the chance that they don't make on then it'd be a complete shock and we'd all be raging everywhere.
all we can do now is hope.

As I recall saying in the other thread, things definitely look good for a sequel in Japan. Elsewhere? Hard to tell, but Capcom probably hasn't picked up on the fact that people outside of Japan also like the game, so it looks about as likely as before outside of Japan.
Also, welcome!

Anyone speak or understand Japanese? www.e-capcom.com/puchicap/puchi_005.htmlIt was linked in a 2ch thread as a response to a post asking about a sequel (I think). The original poster then replied with 'Thanks orz'. "プチカプ" or "Puchicap!" appears to be the name of the series or something. I assume it's official as it's hosted on the e-capcom site. The only English on the site says "Puchicap! is to provide the latest news and information video". It seems to be relatively new as they only have 5 videos out, this one being the newest. I tried to translate the text under the video, but all I can get is I gather it's another Gotcha Force giveaway/contest since there is a new deadline and new entry, but it's also possible they're just extending the old one. The image of the art lottery shows up, and they also show the art booklet to the camera many times. It's probably related to one of those, but if someone with actual knowledge of the Japanese language can correct me, that would be great.

What I understood (was in english lol): Gotcha Force...Capcom...HD...Online...Gamecube...tiny... And What I was able to read: Wii. The Japanese I could understand: Gotcha Force...Delicious. Cool! Cool! So what I infer: Capcom, remake Gotcha Force for the Wii, with online and HD graphics. Delicious, tiny robots. Cool! Cool!* *not serious.....lol but yeah. They opened the artbook and they weren't sure who was with Mana I guess. Kana (or however you spell it) is something like "I wonder", so maybe they were like...I wonder who's with mana?? Considering how much Gotcha Force information was left out of the game (like their last names and such), I wouldn't be suprised if it was just some old concept art or someone the devs wanted in the game (kana is also a girl's name). But overall, it looks like some people that like gotcha force and were excited about the reprint, and somewhere in the middle looked like they were pleading for a sequel. They probably said a sequel would be great with HD and online, and they want it on the Wii. I mean, Capcom printed GF on a last gen system, why not GF2 on a last gen system as well? lol......>_> OH. and if you ever see a new video with these people in it: cube.ign.com/articles/444/444323p1.html, scream and yell because they're the producer and co-producer of GF. I've never seen a picture of the lead dev, atsushi tomita, but if you see that name and GF in the same sentence it's a good sign lol.

^Well that's kind of disappointing. So what I infer: Capcom, remake Gotcha Force for the Wii, with online and HD graphics. Delicious, tiny robots. Cool! Cool!* New tribe: Food borgs?

Well, I could be looking at it wrong . What looked like pleading for a sequel might be thanking them for announcing a sequel, and that HD, online, Wii bit might actually be a new game. That's...being hopefuly though lol. I'd be up for some chef borgs though...*dramatic drum roll* Ramen Hero! Fights with chopsticks. Caution: Hot.
