This thread is for the purpose of telling everyone to have a happy singles awareness day! This special holiday, commonly reffered to as valentines day, was started and named after a priest who would marry couples in secret when the roman government forbid marriage. In modern times however it is typical to buy ones significant other numerous chocolate confections and large stuffed toys. It also reminds the percent of the population with no significant other, reffered to as "singles" to be aware of their relationship status and to be lonely and miserable all day. Now that the history lesson ia over i want to wish you all a happy singles awareness day!

I take it you dislike valentine's day?
Anyway yeah I'm single but if it weren't for this thread I honestly would have gone through today not realising it's valentines day today.
Colonel sarcasm and his Girl friend celebrated it yesterday, if anyone cares.

I dont hate valentines day. I just detest the idea of only loving someone one day of the year. If you love them show it everyday, not just today lol

Yeah good point. Also for those who feel depressed, realise that you dont have a partner for the other days of the year either.
So yeah, again I forgot it was valentines day. I'm so glad it fell during my holiday and not at school like it normally does.

Yay! I thought I was the only one who realized what day it >really< was. I'm the only one at my office who does, that's for sure.
It's not all bad; the people who have significant others are under a lot of stress right now, because they know they're in trouble if they don't do something special today. In a day full of various levels of working relationships and awkward moments abound, singles can take comfort in the fact that they can relax and enjoy their day while the non-singles run around to celebrate a national holiday they >must< observe.

Valentines Day does exactly what it says on it's metaphorical tin eh? Makes Singles very very aware that they're Single lol. Whilst at the same time raising tons of money from Couples. Perfect! =S
