I remember this list. You'd think Capcom would, you know, do something about this, but no, they just plain don't care what the fans want; they're more concerned with making the next $40 DLC pack for Marvel vs. Capcom.

Ooh, and Breath of Fire is #6, too. Good series; too bad it tanked on Dragon Quarter, but they should really make another.
I seem to remember a petition going around that people were going to submit to Capcom several years ago about a Gotcha Force 2, but I assumed it either failed or went nowhere. If we really want a sequel to Gotcha Force, we would need to find a way to communicate and collaborate with GF's Japanese fan club, as they'd have a better chance than us at getting Capcom to listen to the fans.
Even then, the possibility would be far-fetched...just ever so slightly less so than now.

Wait, through the internet couldnt we invite the japanese fanbase to this site? Also i would be interested to see where capcom would go woth a sequel. I mean i have my fancontinuations in my head. But most of them involve a made up new hero. With kou as a side character. Tho most people do that i think...

Im not realky biased to him. There are better characters, with more personality, but im pretty sure he is left pretty blank so that you can personify him... Also my suggestions for a sequel : 1 create a hero, pick a gender, skin color, hair style etc. 2 borg color customizer, that way when you create your hero you can make him/her a unique partner borg. That way kou can still be included yet he can be fleshed out and the player isnt stuck as just having g reds op self at first. 3 do not ruin the game with crappy motion controls of the wii. Many a good looking game has been ruined by motion controls. I would hate for gf2 to share that fate. 4 a free roam map of safari town, if done right "rare" borgs could be hidden in certain areas, it would also add to the battlefields depth if you could roam through the town as a human and the see that same area from a borgs eyes.

Lol i thought that was a given. Something for that too, would be to do what brawl did, and have your force fight an endless unit of random borgs (primarily death force and basic borgs) until the match starts.

Well it doesn't take very long to get into a match on gotcha force in the first place. But if it were an online one I could see what you mean, but if it were to have online there should be some limitations so to avoid the "over-powered" borgs; like the beam tank or gold hero.

Eh if done right borgs could be added to the more experienced players, like for instance do a level system where you unlock more powerful borgs as you gain exp. And dont pit newbs against veterans. Kind of like level scaling pretty much. Tho im sure some people (deatheye if im not mistaken) would only use death borgs. So idt that unlocking say sirius or cyber machine byakko at a certain level would really be a perk for those players

Tho im sure some people (deatheye if im not mistaken) would only use death borgs. I would primarily use Death Borgs, yes, but a Dark Knight or Acceleration Ninja is always a possibility. And some other Borgs I can't seem to think of as a result of me not having played the game in a week or two. And regarding the idea of level scaling, that already exists as a result of having to actually get the Borgs; without an explicit level scaling system the newbs who wouldn't have a Beam Tank yet in the system still most likely wouldn't have a Beam Tank, and the veterans who would have everything would still have everything, or at least be very close to it.

True, so in sight of that, offer several different gameplay "levels" based on skill, like after so much exp your commander levels up allowing you access to higher leveled players as opponenets.

WHY DO THEY WANT ANOTHER OKAMI. I mean sorry but I couldn't stand Okamiden... liked the first game... but not Okamiden.
Other than that it seems the japanese public have good taste. I mean, they want a sequel to skies of arcadia. SKIES OF ARCADIA. YES.
Oh, and gotcha force. They missed infinite space, then again, I seem to be the only one who likes it around here, and Cryzor cant stand the game. Boo.

The versus of the current game already has a form of control, right? Setting a GF energy limit is a good way to make sure nothing gets too out of control. There are flaws, of course; four Revolver Gunmen against one Sirius is still an obvious outcome.
For gameplay levels...there is a "Challenge" option in the menu, right? I think most of us ignore it because you can't win any borgs from it; you can't even level your borgs in it. If they could expand on their existing option, though, maybe it would be possible to co-op with people online against an enemy force. Or maybe if you could co-op with someone in "Special" mode and let the players decide how to divide up the winnings, borg and chip wise.
...Then again, the battles on this game slow down when there's more than one human player >on the same machine<. It would take a pretty powerful system and a decent internet connection for something like that to run smoothly.

The game lags with 4 players due to the gamecube being easily taxed. Its hardware really wasnt made for that much simultaneous action. And since multiplayer battles tend to be extremely actiony due to four inputs running and gunning, it creates lag. Online wouldnt be bad because it would be four inputs over four systems, thus a 1:1 ratio. Now if someone had a bad connection it would create a problem, because the network would be struggling to maintain their position and such would bog it down. Also perhaps to scale it you unlock more GF energy with more battles, much like in game, which paves the way for you to face stronger opponents?

If you want to play multiplayer without lag, all you have to do is play on a level with little to no obstacles (red/blue death lairs and stratosphere). Even with four players, you can play at really good speeds (until you turn on hyper mode lol).

Actually, it would still lag, probably more than on one system; it would have the Brawl online issue of having to keep track of the exact locations, inputs, and speeds of everyone involved, only in three dimensions. There'd be so much lag it would delay flights like that Icelandic volcano did however long ago that was.
