New story idea! Putting this down so I'll remember. It's about a girl who found a Genie's Lamp. She was a bit selfish, but it backfired because the Genie wanted to teach her a lesson. She wished to know everything in the present, wished for sparkling beauty (which made her glow like moonlight and other things.) Then wished to always be able to have the last word. Instead, she can only talk after being talked to, and could only repeat others when she talks.
Yeah.

you have good ideas but you seem to try writing it down before you actually work out what you want to DO with the ideas, for things like Grim and sliver tongue, this isn't the case, I'm thinking more along the lines of this and Song, for example though I may be wrong.
EDIT: Obviously, this is just an idea, but I recommend giving this good idea more thought.

Thus why I've written this little bit here, a place I frequently visit, and song, so I remember, and they're on my mind, thus I think about what to do with them more.

Fair enough. Pretty much what I do, just giving you a heads up you already likely know.

Change the 'last word' wish into a wish for her own giant robot. Now we have a story going.

^ doesn't that ruin the premise?

I suppose so, but a story about a shining girl who knows everything and has a giant robot can't be too bad at all.

Change the 'last word' wish into a wish for her own giant robot. Now we have a story going. Done to death and cliche. Hate mechs for this reason. Code Geass is the exception.

but then theres no boundries and there wont be any awkward social situations... reminds me of that greek story where a girl named Echo is inflicted with exactly the same problem by the gods.
This.

A story of beautiful girl that shines like the moonlight, has complete knowledge of the world, with her own mech, is cliche?
What about a magic lamp with a genie that grants you three wishes?

I love mechs................. ^ Everyone in this forum should. Borgs are like tiny mechs. Even if you consider mechs cliche, it's all about the delivery. You like Code Geass, right? Just because something is a 'cliche' doesn't mean it's bad or shouldn't be done. Your story already has some cliches, main character is a new student (not an uncommon way to start a story...), and is an abnormally shy girl (seems like it so far at least, even if she can only respond, she talks in a very minimal, quiet tone). I'm not saying your story is bad at all, but think about it, pretty much any fathomable idea for a story has already been done. Hundreds of games, animes, books, comics... Everything is full of cliches. It's all pretty much about how you work with the ideas. Kind of like how there's a lot of mech animes, yet all of them have completely different design.

Err, I don't know ANY animes/stories that start with new student. My definition of cliche is overdone. By your definition, EVERYTHING is cliche.

I'll be honest, I hardly watch anime (only watched like 4 short series), but there's tons of games that start with the new student story, mostly RPGs.
