I'm just flicking through animes. I came across darker than black. Heres the opening.
Its a cool show, I've only watched 4 episodes. I was pretty eh at first but after episode 4 I'm pretty sure its a series I'll enjoy. Its about an alternate Tokyo where some sort of area has become... infected by demons or something, just outside of the city. Either way, people built a wall around it called the 'demons gate' and people dont go inside. This demon gate is causing people called 'contractors' with special abilities to arise, and they are considered scum and monsters. Contractor's abilities vary, and normally they'll have to carry out a mundane task as a price for their contract every time they use it. From breaking your own fingers to arranging stones perfectly. It centres around one contractor who is so mysterious the police pin his existence to mere rumor. Either way he lives his daily life as a regular, nice guy, called Hei. Lee? The show splits one episode into 2, so you essentially have 40 minuit episodes which allows for more detail. Each episode focuses around different characters, interesting in their own way. Its pretty cool. Wont be replacing code geass, death note, or soul eater any time soon mind.

Code Geass is my favorite anime...ever. Nothing replaces it in my book. I'm going to rewatch R2. Not R1, because Anya (ANYAAAAAAAAAAA!) isn't in it.
I might watch this after that. And after I rewatch Death Note. And watch all 350+ episodes of Sgt. frog. And rewatch all of Soul Eater. Then I'll probably rewatch all of Code Geass. Then...I'll watch this.

I dont squick, Im a perv.
Anyway, it is funny cuz the main guy isnt good with girls and tries to be a tough guy, but hr lands in a shower and a girl he meets for the first time kisses him while she has him pinned to the ground.
Usually a guy would seize that chance and make a move, but he backs away all scared and leaves.
I thought that was hilarious cuz who would do that?

^ try not to talk about another anime in this thread please.
Anyway, theres not a whole lot of ecchi in this so far, but I may have missed something. We'll RP about it once I've finished the series, which may be a while because I'm hooked on Gurren Lagann. Code geass is the best.

No, Suou is from Darker than Black. She is a contractor that can make a sniper rifle come out of her amulet.

^Lol, Riku, your petty attempts to try and frustrate Al after what happened in the WoD thread make me laugh.

FINALLY got back to watching again.
They manage to get a few short stories across in only 2 episodes and they generally have good characters and are quite touching, and Hei's involvement is always cleaver. However I'm not really seeing anything like a consistent story, Hei's background is revealed in dribs and drabs and its so slow that you generally forget about whats been going on, and very few characters are ever mentioned again after their episodes, besides the main characters and the hilarious detective pair.
Overall I'm not particularly enjoying this anime as a whole, but I like the small details and characters so its something different. Regardless, I DID just watch gurren lagann, and boy gurren lagann will be a bich to top!

Finished season one... it had a good ending but the last episode was random, no relevance to the plot, and acted like nothing had happened to the point where characters who were supposed to be dead were alive. Something tells me Amber didn't rewind far enough to save the lives of Mao and the gruff guy who is awesome but for the life of me I cant remember the name of...? Anyway, its just disappointing is all, is season two good Riku? Give me a quick verdict.
