So, if anyone has read the "How are you feeling" thread you'd know I've been pretty angry lately, so i made an "I hate:" list to vent, then a "I like:" list to not feel so bitter. Made me feel a little better and I thought I'd share an abbreviated version and I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys like/dislike!

making new friends that are worth my time (I know that sounds shallow, but there's nothing more disappointing than to think you made a new friend but they turn out to be a user/liar/etc)

I'm pleasantly surprised my I like list is longer than my I hate list.

Everyone has their stories, but i definitely believe. My mother literally almost died a year ago and she didn't "see the light" per se, but something similar. Not that I didn't believe then but it totally reaffirmed my faith. I have been angry at God before and afraid to pray or go to church. Which is why I still rarely go to church. I would get angry because I noticed whenever I "remembered" to pray (*coughcough* felt like it *cough cough*) I'd be hit with some troubling times. My mom would tell me it was to "challenge my faith" but i was still pissed. I also dont like how many of the masses I've gone to have turned into rants about proper church attire and church etiquette. I have found a church that I like but I still dont go as often as i should.

Addendum: new addition to my like list: love my new haircut! It was down to my mid back, now its shoulder length. kawaii!

Thank you very much. I love this board. You guys are so friendly and welcoming. I like that.. Be your own person. My mom is ok now. it was just super scary. she has asthma and she had a really bad asthma attack when she caught a cold. her face was actually turning purple. I had to yell at the hospital receptionist to get someone NOW. and my mom was like (after the fact, she couldn't remember anything.) "thank god you were there, your father would have just politely waited" lol

I say god exists inside us all because... well, I'm not religious so I believe God is a psychological thing- god and faith is defiantly good for people.
I have a freind of mine who is a hard core christian, and all I can think is that while I dont agree with her, she isn't afraid of things like death as an example because of the idea of heaven. I envy christians in that sense, because death scares me but I learnt to accept it without religion.

Even so, my views on religion are highly controversial so I wont say anymore, but I can say that its good for people's mental stability at least when the pope and the priests aren't trying to get money out of people, well, I dont think they do that anymore.

My Like/Hate list will be small because nowadays I'm indifferent to a lot of things.

Hate:
My mother.
Idiots. (I dont mind stupidity, its not their fault, but someone who has a brain and wastes it? )
War. (Cool in fiction)
Cash ins (Like frickin movie tie ins and the CoD series along with most of the shrek films, etc)
Pop music. Just not my thing.
MC Donald's. (I gag on it, I cant keep it down!)

Like:

Sappiness. (Yeah, I actually like the sappiness in fiction about 70% of the time)

That sucks. I'm guessing that sports? I'm not much of a sports person in any country. I like watching baseball and my fav team is the Mets, but I could hardly tell you a thing abut them.

Well, this is going to go oddly.
I can't really make a "dislike" list because, well, I'll just put it this way: a few days ago a few of my friends in school basically said that I hate everything, and I agreed with them; that's actually not much of an exaggeration.

[opinions]

The US government's corrupt and nonproductive.
American society is going down the drain; half the people I know in school, for example, seem to act like they're trying to be "gangstas" despite the fact that we all live in the middle of nowhere, not in a big city.
Most of the music people listen to these days sucks. In fact, most of the "artists" do, too; with the advent of auto-tune actual singing ability has become optional for those who hope to make millions of dollars at the top of the charts, and all the instrumentals can be (and probably are, I bet) made by just spending a few hours messing around in a MIDI editing program. I could do that.
Even video games have been going downhill; for some incomprehensible reason everyone in my school gets all excited about the next big shooter despite the fact that it's the same thing as the last 20 they bought.
As a matter of fact, technology as a whole has been following that downward spiral. Seriously, just look at Windows 8.

Wanna know why it looks kind of like the iPhone OS? Because they're building it to run on phones. That's right, they're making a PC operating system specifically to run on a cellphone.

So, basically, the "dislike" list does not exist because the only thing on it would be, for the sake of simplicity, "everything."

With that said...
I can probably make a "like" list.

• GFF and all of the members thereof, of course
  
• A very long list of games that aren't modern shooters (I specify "modern" because, despite the fact that I very often speak negatively of shooters, the early ones aren't bad. Perfect Dark? Fun game. I can't get past the first level, but what I've played is quite fun.)
  
• Hating just about everything everyone else likes
  
• Cracking the occasional mediocre, sophomoric, and/or trite joke
  
• Putting my advanced vocabulary to use (not for general speaking, but when I do have to speak I enjoy using advanced words that nobody else I know would bother to use in everyday conversation.)
  
• Several varieties of rock and metal. (I am referring to music, not geology and chemistry.)
  
• Low temperatures (ideally 35-60°, though I suppose 60 isn't particularly low)
  
• Wind (especially when combined with the aforementioned low temperatures)
  
• Cloudy days, preferably without rain (especially when combined with the aforementioned low temperatures and wind)
  
• Darkness
  
• Math, to an extent; I wouldn't do it on my own time for its own sake, but when I have to do it I enjoy it
  
• Pointing out that there is an "A" in Math in the previous entry in the list, not an "E" (but that ties in with the mediocre joke thing)
  
• Dreams; as a matter of fact, I used to actually go to bed early specifically to have dreams, but that is a different matter entirely
  
• Destruction (sometimes), disorder (again, only sometimes), and discord (outside of here when it involves people I don't care about enough to not enjoy it)
  
• Occasionally manipulating people (You say sociopathic tendencies, I say potato)
  
• Doing reckless and stupid things because I feel like it (ever try jumping down a flight of stairs? How about over a trash can? Over a lunch table at school? Over a desk? Up half a flight of stairs?)
  
• The semicolon; it just feels right to me
  
• Cutting the list short because I don't feel like continuing it
  
• Oh, and I guess my family is pretty awesome, too

Dislikes:
Anytime someone says perfect (nothing is. This is my biggest pet peeve)
Perfection (it would prove my above statement false.)
