Now that I have Special Mode unlocked, Imma gonna hunt for some borgs. Yeah. Suggestions on which borgs I should go for? Cosmic Dragon? Dark Knight? Demon Wing? (I'm recommending the somewhat difficult stuff, in case you didn't notice. But I'm not kidding; after all, it'd be better to get it out of the way quickly, right?)

demon wings awesome, so is dark knight. I recomend those two. I suggest hunting for demon wing in 'the end of death commander Tama!?" THE VERSION YOU FIGHT OROCHI IN. It doesn't appear ALL the time if you dont play the version in which you fight orochi.

It's still rare, rare enough for me to mention it, despite the relative simplicity of getting it, what with it only being guaranteed to show up on a mission you can only do in Play 1. Looking for an alt, on the other hand, is quite difficult. Which reminds me, I need to go get my alt Antares. And I should also get my crystal Plasma Dragon so I have something to hunt for an alt Antares with...

Try for a Beam Samurai, Samurai Shogun, Sapphire Knight, Ruby Knight, Beam Gunner, or Cyber girl Hyper. All of them wreck shop, and should only be 2 or 3 crystals.

Demon wing isn't that hard, I got him fairly quickly. ^Same experience as me, then. 1/31 Hunted for Demon Wing along with Victory Baron in the yellow "End of Death Commander Tama" mission in Playthrough 1. Used the Death Saucer, which made everything easy. Didn't take me that long to get my new borgs. 30 minutes, tops. Also, Barrier Girl is now level 8. New borgs: Victory Baron, Demon Wing 2/2/12 Nothing much. Just advanced Playthough #3 and got a Plasma Dragon. Also my Command Girl is Level 4. Gold Hero is so good. Sho is easy now, lol. New borgs: Plasma Dragon 2/4/12 aka Today: Advanced through Playthough #3 some more. Ruby and Sapphire Knights are easy with Gold Hero. Sho Battle 2 Playthough #3 is also easy. Soloed it with a single Gold Hero, though I also had two Gold Heroes in reserve, rofl. Orochi Battle 2? Easy. I wuv Gold Hero now. :3 Barrier Girl is now Level 9. New borgs: Spike Knight, Death Borg Nu, Death Borg Omega IV, Alternate Alien Insect, Death Borg Beta, Death Borg Sigma, ICBM Tank

Short session, got a bunch of new borgs. FYI, be sure to check the topic once in a while. I sometimes edit in an update.
New Borgs: Flame Ninja, Death Borg Omicron, Cyber Girl Super, Axe Knight, Death Borg Mu, Alternate Gatling Gunner (First alternate borg I got that required data crystals), Regular Blue Striker (Got the alternate before I got the regular version, though), Samurai Shogun (First A borg I got (besides the G Reds))
Also, forgot to post this:
Stats for Playthrough 2:

UPDATE: That EMS Memory Card went under. But I didn't lose much, having backed up a lot of the stuff. The Memory Card fails to save now, though. So this'll be on hiatus for a while. >_>

UPDATE: That EMS Memory Card went under. I kind of figured it would fail before long. Still lasted longer than mine, though.

I hope to resume this eventually...after I get a memory card that makes backups AND doesn't fail on me. >_>
Anyone know where I can get one of those?

I experimented with this sort of thing a while ago. Unfortunately, the only way I know of to get a backup of a save without a dysfunctional adapter (in other words, without an adapter) is with Wii homebrew, and those backups can't be restored correctly last time I checked. And you need to use a third-party memory card to make the backup in the first place. So if you can even make the backup with homebrew to begin with, it can only be used if you switch to an emulator. And your computer (probably?) isn't powerful enough to run that at a tolerable speed. Or you could always learn to manually repair electronic hardware, open that thing up, and figure out what in it's broken.

Given that I want to be certain that my many hours of Gotcha Force aren't a waste, the latter is probably my best option. Fixing the EMS card, or even learning how to make a better version of the EMS card is necessary.
Can you help me find someone who might know how to make a memory card by scratch? That might help greatly.

I'm... not sure where you'd find someone who could help you with that. I think I read somewhere that GameCube memory cards are just modified SD cards, though... so that might help... WAIT! I remember reading about there being some way to manually assemble an SD adapter thing that should be usable for this. Give me about 5-10 minutes of Googling and I should be able to find it.
EDIT: Can't seem to find it yet... all I'm finding is stuff about homebrew... *keeps looking*

Thank you for trying, though. I really don't want to keep playing if I'm just going to lose all my stuff. >_> It's not actually as common as it seems; as long as you're not using a low-quality memory card, don't mess with the glitch on your file, and don't let your card get exposed to any powerful magnets, you should be perfectly fine. If you have another card, you could also use that as a backup and put any duplicates you get on it, minimizing the effects of a corrupted file.

The thing is, in this modern age of technology, making a reliable Memory Card with back-up capabilities and high resistance to corruption should be a walk in the park, and I'm pissed that I have to deal with the possibility of some random accident screwing up everything I've worked for.
Since this is a digital thing, it should be able to be backed-up. Now I just want a reliable way to back-up my saves. Wouldn't you be pissed if you lost everything?
I'm not going to settle for a half-assed solution, when a complete solution is possible and potentially within our grasp.
So if you don't know anyone else who knows about making custom memory cards, can you ask some of your fellow forum members what they know in a topic or something?

The thing is, in this modern age of technology, making a reliable Memory Card with back-up capabilities and high resistance to corruption should be a walk in the park You'd think so, and it probably is, but Nintendo is too afraid of possible hacking to do it, and third-party hardware has always been notoriously unreliable. (Well, a lot of it, anyway.) If you want to get technical, that's always a possibility no matter what you do; there's always that remote chance that a freak accident takes out both your memory card and your computer. It's pretty extremely unlikely, but it could happen. If you want to get philosophical, all of life is exactly like that, but that's not important to the situation. I don't believe anyone wouldn't. An even better idea: I could just remember how I found that one thing in the first place. My problem is that I was using Google. I should have been using Google Images. So I did manage to find this. It'll take some soldering equipment and other technical stuff, and this might only be usable for loading homebrew (it only mentions homebrew, though it seems like it should work for backing up saves), but you can make your own SD card adapter thing. And you can apparently maintain the memory card's saving ability (?) if you can find a guide that explains how to do it. (I can't. Googling some combination of "GameCube," "SD card," "memory card," "adapter," and some other related words I can't think of at the moment, then checking the image results for something that looks technical (or like an SD adapter) should eventually yield one, but I have a bit of a temporal shortage at the moment, so I can't continue looking for that long...) Oh, and just for future reference: I just found out leaving your memory card in direct sunlight can corrupt it. I presume that's only if you leave it there for extended periods of time, but I'm not entirely sure if it would be caused by the card overheating internally or the ultraviolet radiation penetrating the outside of it and the seemingly negligible magnetic field generated by it messing with it... not that that really matters.

Well, I think I can load up the save file, it's just that when I tried to save it with the EMS card, I got an error.
That said, seeing one of Manocheese's Sigma II challenges, I might decide to do one of my own one of these days. Eventually.
Got any suggestions?

By "Sigma II challenges" do you mean like that one video where he fought Sho with just Sigma II or something longer than that, like beating the entire game with Sigma II? And by "suggestions" do you mean suggestions involving Sigma II or just suggestions in general?
Either way, the only specific ideas I can come up with are using a Death Eye (or, for less challenge, a Roach) for the first battle with Kakeru and using just about any Death Borg against any battle with Sho. But all you really have to do to come up with a challenge to take on is pick a weak Borg (ideally a Death Borg, but the most generic and weak Borg of a tribe can also work about as well, depending on the mission and the tribe), then pick a mission (ideally with some significance, like a Decisive Battle or something notorious for difficulty) that you might be able to do with that Borg.

Maybe use Sigma II to sole the "Defeat the Dark Knight" mission, but you have to get above 90% hit ratio.
Or use Sigma II to solo the GE, but you have to have less than 5 HP at the end of it.
