Bio:
A beautiful assassin who never misses her target. She can defeat any enemy with her "straight to the heart" special shot!
Overview:
You know, I used to really hate Killer Girl when I first got her, to the point where I actually didn’t have her in my box until this article forced me to. But now my eyes have been opened; she is very good. She can’t take much damage, but is surprisingly good at dodging and has awesome moves. Also, look at that design.
Moves:
B attack – Killer Sword; Air: 17
Okay, so let’s start off with her worst attack. I can’t get this to work on the ground… when I tested it, she only shot when right next to borgs so from what I can tell, it either does not exist on the ground or it has a ridiculously small hitbox. Either way, it does minimal damage so you shouldn’t really be using it. It’s incredibly useful if your opponent is making a final push; coming toward you when they have little to no hp, you just dash toward them and hit B. It’s rather fast so it should usually hit first, but I don’t think it pushes the opponent away so using it on a borg with full or high hp leaves you open to attacks.
B shot – Assault rifle; 37/38 (5 shots) – 152 (full clip – 20 shots)
Now this is more like it. Pressing B once fires 5 little bullet-like shots which travel toward the enemy at a decent speed. They do high damage for a shot and make up for her rather poor B attack. The only downside with them is that they are highly inaccurate, however, they reload incredibly quickly allowing you to shoot all you want since you know that you’ll be fully restocked in a few short moments. Lovely.
X – Buster Killer Laser; 40 (one beam) – 120 (full clip – 3 shots)
And in case you thought it kinda sucked how inaccurate she was, the game gives her (probably) the most accurate move in the game. Buster lasers are lovely, essentially creating an explosion at where the enemy was when you fired it. The great thing is, the explosion is pretty big, so more often than not, even if the enemy is frantically dodging they get caught in the blast radius and still take a bit of damage. The best thing though is that if any enemy that is small gets caught in the blast, they fly away to kingdom come, and even then, it usually makes any big enemies flinch… although it gives no blowback so they essentially become invincible for a bit, which kinda sucks.
Thoughts:
1v1 versus;
And this is where we discover one of Killer Girls main flaws; Boost Jump. Now some people love boost jump and some hate it. I, for one, am in the latter camp, I find it incredibly annoying since you cannot continually dodge about the stage and have to come down at some point. However, Killer Girl is so fast, you probably won’t even notice it as she can take off the ground very quickly and then fly for quite a while. Because of this, she is very well suited to 1v1; just dodge any enemy attacks and hope your B shot hits. It’s rather powerful and if one round of 5 hits, most of them will hit, so battles shouldn’t take too long. If the enemy comes close, use her X to blast them away since it should hit them fairly fast and get them away far. Alternatively, you could just use her X all the time to annoy, but this isn’t really fair, and the enemy might get a few hits in.
2v2 versus;
Again, use the same tactic, try to dodge as much as possible, and use up all your B ammo, or try to use your X to annoy. 2v2 often exposes another flaw with Killer Girl; her insanely low hp and incredibly weak defence. She literally only lasts about 6 hits from an average borg; more from weaker, and only 3 from borgs such as Sirius. Because of this, you will have to keep switching between the two enemies in order to dodge all hits, as if she takes one, she gets stopped in her tracks; leaving her open to yet more attacks and, inevitably, her demise.
Story;
Guess what? Yet another flaw! She has a very high cost for what she is. I mean, the power of a 600 cost borg is there, but the hp stat is so low, you have to be sure you’re an ace at dodging, otherwise… she isn’t really worth it, especially when battles get hectic with about 4 enemies on one map.

Team-mates:
Coincidentally, Shield witch could be quite good as a team-mate as bullets are the only thing Killer Girl should worry about, and her shields absorb all bullets fired by an enemy. Other borgs I’d suggest are annoyers like Slow Valkyrie, Ice Valkyrie, G Red and Sapphire Knight so that the enemy will focus on them whilst you dodge and shoot or any borgs that can set up like Gold Hero or Jet Hero. Killer Girl is quite annoying herself when darting about so the enemy may focus on her, allowing these kinds of borgs to get an advantage.
In story mode, Mana’s going to be useless since you dart about too much so support borgs aren’t particularly good. Anyone else is fine, although I’d recommend Met since his team appears to be made up of annoyers.
Counters:
Anything with good accuracy like Sirius, or anything that’s very resilient like Isaac. You only really need to get a few hits on her, so something with great accuracy will do the job but you could also just run at her with Isaac since he won’t be blown back by her X, and then corner her and fire.
Overall:
Pros;
+ Lovely Attacks
+ Very manoeuvrable and fast
+ Great design
Cons;
- High, high cost
- Very low hp
- Boost jump
Tier:
I think she should be either low down in the highest tier, or very high in the second highest. She really is great compared to the majority of borgs where you feel trapped in your movements, and it’s very rare that you get into a situation that she can’t handle.
