By my logic... The most violent game I've played is DMC4. From my experience on it, though, that game only has the M rating because of the first cutscene. The gameplay is really arcadey and not gruesome at all. Other than that, the most violent games I play are fighters like Marvel vs Capcom and Smash Bros. You can't compare that with me paying to watch real fights...
And anime, well... Again with DMC. Like I mentioned before though somewhere else here, I almost stopped at the first episode because of the gruesome fights, but it had some emotional moments, and soon I realized every episode is actually based on moralistic lessons about life. Dante finished every fight in about ten seconds, anyway.
Aside from 4kids every Saturday, the only other anime I've watched is a 6-episode romance and Last Exile, which is about steampunk planes.
Yeah I know, it's not normal for a gamer to not play Call of Duty/God of War/GTA/Halo/Zombie-Killers/Whatever violent game any gamer plays today... Or for an 18 year old to like 4kids anime and not like Naruto/Bleach/One-Piece...

^ thats not the point. The point is, we all like violence, some more than others. And dont worry, Call of duty is ok, but really once you've played one game you've played them all, god of war is fine, just ok, GTA whatever Elder scrolls is better, Halo, ok I actually like Halo but not obsessively, and yeah, I also like animes. It isnt weird really. I mean, a lot of popular games are simply advertised and ok, not great.

As long as the fight is an honorable one, then personally I see no problem with people testing out their skills against each other. As long as its in good spirit, then all is fine. Just have a set of rules and don't break them. If there are no rules, then well don't come crying if the dude gouges your eyes out (you shoulda set that rule before the match).
Haven't gone to the website yet, though... in the library right now.
I take taekwondo, and I, too, have wondered what I would do if I had to defend someone else. I wouldn't fight to protect myself. That's what running's for. If someone else was getting bullied, then I may or may noot be pushed past my limit, if the moron was so stupid as to not be able to talk it out...

On the subject of defending other people, there are some people I could easily see myself putting my life on the line to defend without a second thought if it came to it. For people who don't fit in that category, well, I don't know what I would do.

guys guys guys... we all know that anything you've trained for years to do is NOTHING compared to the nerd flail. No seriously I would die before the fight began. No, even more seriously, you would probably hit me once and I'd crumple like paper.
