Prom?

everyones talking about the event at school.
BUT IT'S 10 MONTHS AWAY!!!!
They are already discussing dates and what they will wear... funnily enough these for the most part are the people who think I have no life.
Pffffft.
I've also been bugged to go to the prom with a girl.
Who I have no romantic interest whatsoever.
Heck, we barely talk. What is wrong with these people? They have problems. Especially one girl, who as I mentioned was the same girl who I talked about in the post something personal thread.
She's been the main person bugging me about going to the prom with a girl who I'm indifferent to.
Thats when I got pissed, especially when she's doing the same thing too... everyone.
And now she's seriously pissed at me. Pffffft.

Anyway, enough of that, how were/are your prom experiences?

Ahh screw it dude. Go with her, have a good time, and don't worry about it. From what I've heard its more of a banquet than a dance.

Haven't been to any actual Prom.
Homecoming, on the other hand, I've been to. Thrice.
First year the girl I liked (who I didn't realize I liked until 6 months later ) asked me to dance, but I don't dance, so I declined. She thought I rejected her, but I really only rejected the idea of dancing.
Second year I spent the whole time trying to convince myself to talk to that same girl who I still liked at the time. Then when I did it was in the same intersection of the school where she asked me to dance the year before.
Third year I spent sitting in a corner feeling sorry for myself. Yeah, I was pretty much at the bottom of my downward spiral I had been on for probably about 6 years at that point.
But I doubt that's anything like Prom, so you can go ahead and ignore all that.

As for my future experiences... probably about the same, only probably without the self-pity. But who knows?

And it's more of a party/dance, which is something else I hate because I dont enjoy dancing or parties.

Where I come from we have NRA. But I didn't go. I bunked school from time to time so in typical fashion I bunked NRA lol Never looked back!

I was kind of expecting RP Mod to explain what I meant by that; I don't remember the exact specifics of the story, but I recall him saying he did something like that.

Also, the funny thing about your mention of Physics is that my Physics class has no girls. It also has no seats. It's just me and a couple of the smartest guys in my grade in room 220 3/4 with limited supervision discussing Physics, solving problems out of the book on a whiteboard, goofing off, and "being total f***ing geniuses." But I get what you're saying.

And you're right, I wouldn't do that if I were in your shoes. I guess I just said that because I'm pretty sure that's the only way I'll be going to any dances with anyone.

I remember his story. Its how he met Drachea. But it was his own decision and he KNOWS drachea.

freshman dont get prom. We get homecoming.

I am being pressured to go. It is a month away. I really dont wanna go, but I know that she is gonna want me to go. I am gonna leave town the next day for something religion related, so i am tryin1 to use that for an excuse.

I think the fact that you dont go insinuates your a bad student, which looks bad... all my friends at school tell me that if I dont go on an optional basis, it's ok because it's optional. It only looks bad when you want to go and the school doesn't let you.
However, I'm not taking the chance.

I never went to prom. But this was more on the fact that I almost liked nobody from my year.

A dance and a drink or two does not sweeten up the personal grudges I have with a majority from my year.

It was Sadies not prom, and I would have if I had been on much yesterday/today. Goddamn need to sleep...

Ours wasn't even a Prom. Basically everyone had to go to this rented building and collect something. But to make it interesting they were all suited up and many hired cars. But that was it. After they collected there things, they just went out to clubs and pubs ect.
