Just realized that Black Star is a complete idiot. And he can't read....

yay my friend agreed to do it!
So he's going to come round tomorrow after school and we're going to make a script for the first episode, I'll probably rough draft one this evening too. With all the enthusiasm and support from everyone, I think this could end up really good.

well, ok now I've made a part of the first episode script, and it's ok.
I'm going to wait till tomorrow for my friend, who can add the magic touch.

He's a comedic genius, he's genuinely interested, we at GFF have got good talent, and I wont voice but I'll do the grunt work. (Editing ad whatnot.) And he'll have to join if he's to keep up with news on the series' progression. Its all win win, and if we can be at least half as good as yu-gi-oh abridged, I will be very happy. |

Anyway, yes. AUDITIONS OPEN! Characters in first episode, in order of appearance we'll stick to how good one episode is before getting too ambitious: Narrator: Shinigami/death: woman 1: Jack the ripper: woman 2 (can be same as woman one for all I care): Maka: Soul eater: Death scythe/spirit: Blair: (black star? up to debate, he appears in the outro): (Tsubaki up to debate): |

I thought I'd mention that my friend will probably want to voice one... or two, so keep that in mind.
Auditions close at midnight saturday (I wont be too strict, this is more of a convenience.) when the script is 100% completed, and ONLY if he's joined by then, unless he decides he doesn't want a voice/involvement.
Just mail or PM me a voice clip of yourself playing the character.
Find a line from the actual show and voice it, sounds simple enough. If there is no competition, it's yours no question.
We'll put it to a group vote if it's too hard for me to decide alone.
And, if this gets too popular/hectic, I'll make a separate thread for this.

finished watching the first part of Soul Eater and about half of the second(going by Netflix separations here) and I found it hi-LAR-ious to watch the episode with Crona and Maka, bringing Crona out of his/her funk(screw it, its a guy for now until proven otherwise). Mainly because as I was watching I was also reading a Crona/Maka fic. So it was pretty funny to be reading about a Crona/Maka romance, while seeing where it could have started.

Sooooo, anyway, my friend is having troubles trying to take the mic of this show.
He has very good reasoning.
Yu-gi-oh abridged was good because they were poking fun at a show that was very serious, so turning it into something not serious and pointing out it's flaws forms most of the jokes.
Watching through episode 1, he found that the jokes that were already there could be made worse by making an abridged series of it, which I can see due to how meh the ones I saw were.
he'll try in his own time to make something of this because he feels bad about not living up to the standards I made him out to be, however he suggested a pokemon abridged or something.
