i would say it is exactly this
we bought this game when it just released (or maybe some months after release) ... it could be that the first gotcha force games are different

The only things that will convince me are logic and hard evidence. That's just the way I am. And so far the only evidence available is you saying you got to plays higher than 8 and got G Black and GE legitimately. That could be because you had a hacked copy; it's entirely possible. It could also be because of a version 1.0 and 1.1 in Germany, but I've read nothing about that anywhere, so I doubt that to be the case. So pretty much the only explanation (aside from trolling) is that the old copy was hacked. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this (as long as you don't give me a reason not to) and just say it was a hacked copy. Case closed? |

It's unlikely that they would get two hacked copies.
And if they were hacked, then the only explanation I can give is that they both obtained their copies from a dodgy retail.

All he said was that his friend got to play 16, not that it was on a different copy. And if it was on a different copy, then yeah, they probably came from the same place, and that place is probably not the best place to shop for games. And if they didn't and they did come from a reliable store, well, sorry, but the credibility of your story is pretty much shot, I think. |

not a small shop. it's a big and reliable shop here in germany. every german knows this shop.

it could be that the creators didn't want to tell that there are different versions of the game
maybe they decided to make 1.1 because they didn't like 1.0.
or they just wanted to make some rare versions of this game.
or maybe it's a manufacturing error or something.

the tree of us were playing this game and we all were over than 8#.
and we didn't get this game from a dodgy retail. it´s a big shop.
it's called "Saturn".. it is everywhere in germany.

Well, the problem with that is that we've already pretty much established that every copy of Gotcha Force that anyone else on here owns doesn't allow you to go past play 8, so either there's a difference between the German version and other versions, or you're trolling. Why isn't the 1.1 thing possible? Somebody somewhere would've mentioned it if that were the case. Like how word about the 20th Force Glitch spread. Stuff like that always gets on the internet. I don't suppose we could get a link to where on the internet? And, since you never answered the question the first time I asked it, does the German version have a language selection option? |

i am still trying to compleate the game it is hard trying to juggle hospital vists beeing a "dad" to Kari and keep my house in order and to get my fitness back so gotcha comes after all them i know major sin but what can i do

well... me and my friends found it out.
and maybe there are some more guys who have the same version of this game but they don't know that it normally only goes up to 8#.
i found that out because i sold this game and bought it again later.
not everybody is doing this.
