Valuable Lesson:
Don't engage knockback / stun champions near turrets.
You'll regret it.
I can't believe I just won a 3v3 against Warwick, Udyr, and Janna..
With Evelynn, Twitch (Me), and Renekton.
It was just so sad...

ME LOVE UDYR! seriously, it was me, vlad, and soraka, against annie, WW, shen, ashe, and taric. yorick and cass left so it was 3v5 and we still kicked ass! i got the most kills at 11, but most of those were because I could chase by spamming bearmode and then combining with phoenix. i'm going to gamestop to get some riot points to buy him and his primal skin.
I LOVE THE ANIMAL SPIRIT!

Pantheon is that bad. He's bad in the same way Tryndamere is bad but in the opposite direction. Tryndamere relies on not losing in the first 30 minutes so he can farm up three or four items. Pantheon relies on winning in the first 20 minutes before his opponents can build some armour.
It's time for a quick lesson on how armour and MR work and how they're priced and stuff! Armour is a flat number and it gives you % reduction based on the following formula:
% reduction = armour/(armour + 100)
the same goes for MR. It's not integral to this explanation, but it's nice to know (the formula works out so that each point of armour and MR makes your health worth 1% more against that type of damage, which is why past about 200 of each resistance it actually becomes more efficient to build health than resists).
Right, so you may have also noticed something else. Namely, armour is much cheaper than MR. This actually is an integral part of Pantheon's deficiency. Basically, generally magic damage is dealt by burst casters , so MR is more expensive because burst casters have no sustained damage and they'd scale weirdly if they got countered REALLY hard by MR, to counter the lowered damage against people with MR they'd have to have higher base damage and then they'd be REALLY OP against people with no MR but easily shut down against people with MR. Physical damage is generally dealt by sustained damage characters, it's basically the reverse of the MR reasoning.
Pantheon? Is what would happen to all burst casters if MR were as cheap as armour. His base damages are ABSURD (except Heartseeker Strike, more on that later) but since he's a burst caster countered by the cheaper defense, he falls off SO QUICKLY. "So what" you might think, "he still builds AD, that must mean he has some sustained damage?" but alas, he runs into the age-old problem of squishy melee. That and the other age old problem of having no attack speed (other than arguably Ghostblade) so he wouldn't ACTUALLY have that much damage output.
The other problem with Pantheon is that he's one of the characters that's broken in a similar way to Ashe or Old!Shen. His kit is amazing for what he does, and the only way to stop him from being so amazing is to rework it, or cut the numbers so much he sucks. There's a little joke about how every other patch Pantheon goes from being super OP to being terrible or vice versa. That's because for a while it was literally like that, then they just crippled his numbers. If you run the maths, Heartseeker Strike does slightly less damage than autoattacking (obviously if it hits multiple targets it's better).
My thoughts on how to fix Pantheon are as follows: 1. Turn the damage up slightly on Heartseeker Strike 2. Give him some sort of armour penetration. Either an armour shred on HSS a la Corki or a new passive. 3. Give him a new passive and stick the old one as a passive on Aegis 4. Rework his ultimate (give it a max range or a condition)
So yeah, that doesn't mean he sucks and he definitely has his place, but it's not a place that's often very useful. He's better against disorganised teams too.

Well, his ultimate's range is being nerfed sooner or later...

so buy some armor pen? like a Last Whisper that kinda counters the problem :/ Well duh of course you get last whisper except the costs are STILL balanced around armour pen being a thing, and look at burst casters again, they can buy a Void Staff which is exactly equivalent except MR is cheaper. Even with 40% + 20-ish armour pen, Pantheon still gets shut down by armour pretty hard.

they fixed yoricks mana problems(?) AHAHAHAHAAAAA HAHAHAHA... haaaahaa..
ha...
Hooh.
No, Yorick's mana costs got decreased by like 5 each level, which still leaves him decently mana hungry.
His damage barely got boosted (by a very small amount), his ghouls can't stand up to the dreaded purple caster minions, and his passive is still junk. Even with the damage reduction you take, it's still junk since your ghouls die in an instant.
Yorick needed some definitive buffs, not some tiny mana cost cuts.

And so, I'm explaining!
Simply put: Yorick's mana costs got cut by an insignificantly low amount, to the point that the buff is almost unnoticeable.
Nothing's fixed about Yorick. They just made him a tiny bit better. It would be like your local grocery store saying: "Because of customer complaints, we lowered the price on some of our inventory. Enjoy!" only to find out that the difference is about 1-2 cents from their previous price.

Riot is (like always) trying to fix up the giant buggy mess they made trying to give us an update.
It's estimated to be fixed in 3-2 hours or so.
