Alright. Follow up to last poll. You all know this by now right?

I say Neo G Red, for the reasons I mentioned in the other topic but currently don't feel like re-typing out.

Still Black. Faster Attacks mean more damage at a given time, he has a better range, and his final blow on the ground makes a shockwave hitting opponents who land quickly.

He's just better.

More Hp, More bullets(only reason I use him, he can snipe)
has almost the exact same attacks as G black.

The buster laser don't make up for the fact that G black SUCKS.
Plus, I can take out a fleet of dragons with one Neo G red.

I can't kill diddly squat with G black.

Neo G Red has more HP, more defense, more B ammo, ability to charge G Buster without using G Crash, and faster aerial attacks (not like melee attacks matter).

G Black has buster laser, and longer range for ground melee (not like melee attacks matter).

Neo G Red wins.

How can you say melee doesn't matter? Melee fights are the epitome of skill in this game. They show that you can dodge well enough to get to your opponent, and then proceed to handle your own.
BTW PT, if you cant do diddly squat with him, you just arn't skilled enough.

I'm very decent with melee, but I just suck with G Black.
Just because I suck with one borg doesn't mean I'm not skilled.

I agree, melee does matter, and It shows skill.
I am very good with some melee characters(like normal Samurai, Teleport Ninja, Blade Wing, etc.)
I just suck with him.
I do a lot of melee with Neo as well.
Nothing against G black, but I suck using him.


EDIT: I am more range based with my borgs, and realized that all the borgs I mentioned are more balanced, rather than just melee.
Still, I like some melee borgs, and melee does matter, Njayhuang.

I never claimed that melee doesn't take skill; in fact I think it takes more skill than spamming range. But you won't even get within melee range against a competent player because they'll just run away and spam range. Range is easier and safer than melee.

If neither one can get close enough to use a melee attack, I think that means that we can disregard melee in this and any other range-heavy matchup.

Fine, if we are going to asume that range > mele, then G black can spam the laser from his eyes (the buster laser, right?) it works well, especially in hyper mode.
G black also attacks faster, in close range G black wins.
a few extra shots and HP dont mean anything if you dont have time to use them. simple as that.

i would think that Neo G Red would win this round. if he has more hp and ammo, then he's much better at spamming B shots than G Black.

to use G black in this matchup, you'd either spam B shot, or approach using G crash, with his buster laser to cancel the lag afterward. trying to use melee is suicide, because Neo G Red's G crash can easily take that out, after sidestepping, so that's out of the question. also you'd have to try and chase after neo G red if he's running and spamming, usually taking bits of damage as the match drags on. if you try to copy Neo, with his superior defenses and ammo, the numbers say that you'd lose. so you're stuck with G crashing. the only reason that Neo G red can't use this tactic is because to cancel the lag after the crash, it involves using his chest beam, which also has a large amount of lag, but since G Black has a buster laser, it provides aquick cancel as well as an exploding attack, which is pretty dangerous, since Neo has a boost jump, and will land sooner or later. BUT, the G crash is the problem here, as all you really have to do is sidestep to dodge it, and spam, then boost out of the way.... and spam.

to use Neo G red, you should not melee, and you should not use your G crash, reasons listed above. so you're using the run and spam technique, which is probably what most borgs use to win in this game anyways.

now i know that all you have to do is sidestep to dodge a B shot, and possibly close in to try and let loose some kind of melee miracle, but don't forget that the neo g red is also running away at the same time, so i wouldn't count on melee to save my butt.

i don't think there's any way that a good g black would beat a good neo g red, i really dont

I have never tried G Black, but he seems like a cooler looking version of G Red, so I say tie! I dont even have a G Black

I personally feel G Black's attacks are clumsier compared to Red's despite they having a similar ones.

Black's melee B-combo, which ends with him causing a shockwave across the ground, feels slow and should be easily dodged/counterattacked by Red.
Red also has an easier, and more reliable G Buster charge.

similar story wit blade and anubis but not the same attacks. so its outcome would be the same the youngest will win.
