You've obviously never taken advantage of his "Rain of Pain". That's still nowhere near enough to give him his "renowned" status. Gold Hero = a definite Borg. How DARE YOU! Lemme put it this way. What other less than 500 point borg can you kill G emperor on play 8 with, alone?

Eagle Robot: 150GF more expensive than his Proto form which out performs him. Just wow... Proto Eagle has pellet guns and one super beam that reloads slowly, Eagle Robot has almost instant reload lasers and a fast plane form. How is Proto Eagle is better?

What other less than 500 point borg can you kill G emperor on play 8 with, alone? *dares* Making him ( perhaps somewhat) useful in the final battle is still not enough to call him universally recognized Borg. Honestly, Metal Hero... I mean yeah he does alot up close but otherwise he's not very useful. Especially his special beam hack, it takes him a long just twirling his sword around and by the time he finally unleashes the attack your target ran off or killed you > _ > But I must admit Metal Hero is useful for killing dragons. Metal Hero's forte is killing dragons and fortresses.

*dares* Making him ( perhaps somewhat) useful in the final battle is still not enough to call him universally recognized Borg. He does have relatively fast and powerful shots that can be fired at a rate of about 2 per second(?) and a powerful beam attack. And he's fast and has 4 jumps. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure exactly why you hate him. Is it because he's pretty much completely helpless about 1/3 of the time and has somewhat low HP? Those are pretty much the only downsides I can think of. Metal Hero also seems to be excellent at killing almost any non-flying borg in a one-on-one situation.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure exactly why you hate him. His inability to be good? The fact his "apparent" strength lies in not transforming and only making constant jumps to shoot his cotton ball-like ammo around doesn't exactly give him credits for battle IMO. If only his transformation wasn't so darn short and his X shot so slow, I'd have a totally different view on him.

The fact his "apparent" strength lies in not transforming Huh? Who told you that? All you do with Gold Hero is use your four air jumps to get higher than any other non flyer, dash around transformed and shoot lazor beams at people. He's pretty boring but dang he's op.

In Gold set-up, he can melee better than just about anything as well. Sapphire Knight don't stand a chance!

Sasuke: As much as I love Sasuke's coloration, and as neat as I think the lower Ninjas are, Sasuke and the Normal Ninjas are both relatively horrible. I expected my first 'Commander' Borg to be something special, something more than an extra move and a bit of extra health (if he even has any), but of course I was disappointed. He's still part of my team, and the spinning attack is pretty neat, but I don't like going in head-first, and I realized eventually that getting near anyone is pointless if you want to win.
As per Admin, who mentioned Gold Hero being useless, his forward and side airdashes mixed with his basic laser attack make for a devastating force to be reckoned with. The lasers move extremely fast, and swooping over someone generally provides for a few hits, while the constant airdashing provides for more unpredictability and versatility, as opposed to flying borgs which are predictable, and can be forced to fly into attacks.
Not to sound over-enthusiastic about a silly robot, but when I finally got my hands on Gold Hero and learned how to play him, the game changed for me. Now all I do is keep my distance, and constantly airdash and shoot. Nothing in the game seems to put you at as big of an advantage as this, though it certainly isn't the most entertaining strategy. Realistically there are better robots, due to this one having to use this strategy, but it seems like though this is a very low-skill strategy, anyone else should be called a try-hard.
Case in point, any robot that can't constantly airdash and shoot is at a big disadvantage. Sidestepping puts you at a big disadvantage due to stopping, and having to land to shoot puts you at a disadvantage for the same reason. So, even though Metal Hero is Ryu from Street Fighter, Gold Hero wins because he can hadoken for hours and move.

Here's why: 180 Hp at lv: 1 for 150 cost Fast A very nice dash melee, which combined with bombs, can do lots of damage. You've obviously never utilized him like I have. I'm gonna make a vid showing he is good, and put it on YouTube as my 1st upload.

Eagle Jet and Victory Jet. For borgs that are related to the kickass Giant Machine borgs, they really suck.

I'm gonna make a vid showing he is good, and put it on YouTube as my 1st upload. disagree. normal ninja isn't bad. there really arent too many 150 gf energy and less that can beat them, what with the NNC flinching the heck out of everything. then he just bombs at the end, and repeats. granted he cant do much on long range, but for 150 his melee is epic. sasuke i put on the same level as NN, since he has a totally different play style, what with his lack of the NNC, since he doies this little flip kick thing. NN is fun because his combos are solid. sasuke is fun because his combos are flashy. now what doesn't live up to MY expectations would be phoenix dragon, whose fail is probably in the previous posts, i forgot. flinches at everything, very slow, the beams on his back instead of fireballs. he just doesnt live up to the godliness that encompasses the other dragons.

As absurd as it sounds, I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I've used Phoenix Dragon briefly, and he's actually not too bad. He just takes a bit of getting used to. He still is nothing compared to the big dragons, but when you're not comparing him to the other dragons he's not as bad as you (and I, and just about everyone else) say (or, in my case, said).

^ that's pretty true. the only thing he's got going for him is that his lazor attack has almost no startup lag. other than that i don't know how in the world he will even TOUCH his opponent

Ultimate canon. I remeber him owning me the first time i ever played the game. Then thinking dang he would be awesome to have cause its a giant gun covered in smaller guns. Hes unbeatable. I finally got one and was severly disapointed with my "prize" :spawn and began charging, standing still because he cant move. Almost done then im gonna fire my ownage beam. Kaboom! Well the ultimate canon is crap. -true story
